I have been using them for my long runs for my marathon build. I completed a 15 miler yesterday and they feel good! They do not feel as aggressive/fast as the Vaporflys, but they have worked out well for long runs!

I have over 220 miles on my Zoom Fly 5's and I enjoy them over my Adidas Boston 12's (about 80 miles on them). I feel they break in fully after 120 miles. I'm 60 years old and these protect my old legs from all the long miles and faster paces. I just love the bounce on these as they help with my stride length, so smooth. I use these as my daily trainer and long runs. They are faster than the Adidas Boston 12's despite the heavier weight. I think this shoe has gotten a bad rap as everyone expected a light Next % trainer and when these weren't it, the reviews were bad. For reference, I'm 5'11" and 164 lbs., run between 30-60 miles a week depending on marathon build up.

Appreciate your review. I'm, too, nearly 60 (July, 2024), with similar height/weight build (5'9"/155 lbs), although I'm not a runner, not like yourself (at least in the general sense). I just bought these because I walk A LOT, and do sprints at various times, on various days, to keep some sort of cardio, to tame my belly. But I came from 2021 Prestos, and, more accurately, Renew Runs, from that year. I love the "squishyness", of those soles, so much so I have several pairs of them. But I thought I'd indulge myself this Christmas. And these shoes LOOK LIKE, they'd be even SQUISHIER.

Pegasus 40 is very ideal for 5k races and training. I would also suggest Vimero.
