Loved watching this video.....brought back many good memories. Hopefully more great times to come. Love the new water park and skating rink at the Marina. Value all the special "things and places" that make Thunder Bay the great city it is.
I've been looking for this video for years! Please post the tourism video from the early 80's with Choklit Moose and information on the 1981 Canada games. I used to watch channel 7 as a young child and this really brings back memories.
Born in McKellar hospital in 1981 love growing up here as a kid I’d bike all over never once had an issue now in 2020 I won’t let my daughter out of my sight in this town. It’s disgusting what’s happened to this beautiful town. The marina park is full of liquor bottles and drunks bumming change. Patterson park is just full of needles corner stores are robbed on the weekly, just about every unlocked car will be gone trough. It’s disgusting, disgraceful and very depressing in 2020. Unfortunately my whole life and career are here otherwise I would have left 20 years ago.
Ohhh I went to da Tunderbay once back some time. We rode out snow skids in dar and got us some curlers and new tukes. But da kids on da streets were playing da rock n rolls so loud playing da Andy Kim and da ABBA oh our ears hurt. Den someone stole our moose when we were dar. Oh it was horrible
Funny it still looks the same 30 years later.... and the average working wage (if you can find a job) hasn't changed either .....soon minimum wage will surpass the starting wage at the mill and Bombardier... sad
