Don’t listen to these critics on here you are showing alternative ways to accomplish results that normally only professionals get and can be done with the simple tools that most people have. I think it’s an awesome video and I learned from it good work

Ive been a pipefitter 32 years and you have taught me a few new tricks. Even number 1, it would have taken a while for me to make a template using pattern development. Nice work keep it up.
Good to see someone using their head. Good stuff here. For first joint (3 tubes intersect at corner), set saw at 45°. Cut. Rotate tube 90°. Cut again. Done. A lot of what is shown here could be simplified by starting with a 45° cut on a saw first. I get it though, sometimes a grinder is all you have.

This is grate knowlege..and its hard to learn all of them..especially for me..i have poor memmory and concentration..😢😢 Would you pls make a video on cutting handrail joint (pipe) of steps,on landing three pipes which comes from different angle and different directions and joins.. My coworkers did that job..but they messed..they made one inch gap on joints of 3 inch dia pipe..i had to fill those gaps by cutting tiny pieces..

It is rarely or never that you have time to cut and paste if you are doing the work for a customer! You order everything ready-made from the manufacturer or my own workshop can manufacture what is needed. But if you have the time and desire at home, that's fine. I haw a pipefitting and welding company for the nuclear industry !
J'aime bien toutes les astuces, là il y en a , mais pour le système de manchonnage de deux tubes , c'est très connu mais les soudures sont peut être solides mais vraiment pas belles , demandez à un bon soudeur tuyauteur à un soudeur tout court...je suis incapable de réaliser une très belle soudure sur ce genre de pièces, mais j'ai vu de si belles soudures où l'on pouvait dire : travail d'orfèvre.
Please explain how you would do it? I've been a pipefitter/welder for 32 years and I thought it was quite ingenious. When I do it, I first make a simple 90 degree mitre for the bottom 2 pipes but then I would use pattern development to develop a template for the vertical pipe, which would have taken a lot longer.
Professional fabricators use a mill with the right cutting tool for the size of the scollop. We avoid posts on corners as they are unsuitable for handrail fixing and also avoid using different types of materials on hand rails unless the design states it then we price for extra time for the joints. Joining pipe we use inside solid round bar and chamfer the pipe edges before welding so there is no need for a penetration gap in lunless its for gas or liquid, that a pipe fitters job which is a skill all of its own. Please ask a skilled fabricator before you make any more videos like this.😊
I like seeing comments about how pros will do things more efficiently, but damn... I guess a guy needs to get permission from a 'real' fabricator to make a video about tube templates because he doesn't have a mill, a full suite of cutting tools, and the appropriate jigs and fixtures? Seems like an elitist take that someone with an angle grinder and a $200 welder can't cope a pipe with a template because it's 'not professional'.
@@t0kinl3lunts from a safety point cutting pipe with a small thin cutting disc is very open to snapping or catching in the pipe, it is not common practice and I would stop any fabricator using that method in my workshop, I have seen and dealt with too many injuries using hand held grinders even from experienced fabricators rushing about, it can be a very dangerous place to work you have to be aware of what you are doing.
Something I'll never need to know or even do so why has this video captivated me to watch to the end? Just something so very satisfying to watch!!

@@tryaluck Cut the tubing at a 45 degree cut. Rotate 90 degrees, cut a again.
