When saw the three pipes coupling ( I don't know if that is the right term), I was like WOW!, by the end of the video I was amazed. Thank you for sharing.👏👏👏👏👏👏

I have a tool that does this for me, a tubing notcher under $100 paid for itself through saved time and effort, a belt sander will do it too with a 2" roller it will profile about any tube size in a 1/4 of the time to map it out by hand
And what third world country mentality doesn't allow this gut to make (and keep) his own pipe tape for measuring with? Interesting but really not cool on a job.
I found something called a pipe guide. But it only goes up to 8.65 inches. I do think I'm starting to understand why he does it this way though. Your not limited by pipe diameter with this technique.
put 2 crossing each other like X and cut them like X with 45 degree differenc. waaay shorter way to do it. X over X. You can do this with end of tubes too and that would be V over V cut.
Agreed. Much easier for pipes up to, say, 4 to 6 inch dia. Above that, there are some simple techniques by using a straight edge and piece of chalk, holding pipe against pipe. The wrap-the-paper technique might get taught in high school weld class by the guy that hasn't welded in the field for 20 years. It works - but it's not how pros do it. For a bit of fun, a company I engineered for some years ago, rolls sheet steel to make industrial, and commercial fittings - and the plasma cut is done prior to rolling. On a 48 in di pipe, nothing is off by more than 1/32 inch (a bit less than a mm). I created a program for a couple specialty fittings/inlets - example- a 48 inch inlet into the arc of 140 inch radius of a 84 inch dia pipe. (Wrap a 84 inch pipe to form a 90 degree curve around 140 inch radius. Now bring in a straight pipe fitting of 48 inch dia, lined up with and centered with the outlet of the main. Now the fun part - make the fitting from flat plate, plasma cut excepting 4 points, rolled to the 48 inch dia.) My boss spent 3 weeks trying to get a CAD program to create the proper rolled shape and "unroll" it, and retro to our plasma table. As the deadline loomed, I took the numbers home, sweated for 2 nights ,then worked out a maths method, created an Excel spreadsheet that could be used semi-generically - and could directly import to our plasma machine. Feedback from the customer was that it "fit like a glove" My boss kept trying to make his method work ( on and off) for the next year. He really loved that CAD program. Sadly it was pretty much unnecessary for our work. I was using an (outdated) version of AutoCAD 14.
This guys grinder skills is what keeps me coming back
Using a cutter blade to grind with that has ended lives more than a few times?
Yeah... sure.
@frenchys_prospecting I think the kids spell it “GRINDR”.
Same here!
Impressed with your math skills. Even more so with your skill with the cut-off blade.
M luego
The fact that geometry is your friend is amazing. Love your videos !!
When you too poor to afford a drill press and pipe cutting jig, you need to use your brain!
It's satisfying to see someone use basic geometry to such a fine degree. OG Stick welder FTW.
I was trying to figure out what method to this madness he was using, thanks for clarifying.
🙋♂
When I was a pipe fitting appreciate, our instructor was an old school fitter and welder and showed us all kinds of good things.
Stick welder I know you were a straight A student in applied geometry. Simply amazing brother.
Super idea, super calculations. Well done.

Terimakasih atas triknya.... Salam Sejahtera Dari Lereng Gunung Slamet....

I was really miffed when the TV show Coupling wasn't about welding
Amazing techq, thanks for the video.
Difinitivamente exelente.
Amen.
I love the finger wag...the rest of the videos real good too!

Wow! Amazing!
Nice safe gloves man 😂😂 need to speak with a sponsor 😂😂
Bom demais. Tô aprendendo com vc meu nobre..
Guy , you are a soldering genius
Merci beaucoup mon patron
Where did you get the dimensions of 10mm
His diagram with numbers means divide. 45÷4=11.25mm
gloves look great 😉 hard work
Nice work keep it up 🎉👍🏻
You could use a 3d printer and Tinkercad to make sturdy reusable templates.
Wah keren bang terimakasi teknik yang luar biasa👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Sempurna👍👍👍
good i like ur job
Ang galing excellent

Rất tuyệt vời, cảm ơn bạn
where do you get soft lead pipe
Interesting.
Would be much more satisfying to watch if after the prep work, you actually welded them together and showed the finished joint.
Great artisan! Congratulation.
Cutting those pipes with angle grinder that’s a real master job 👏
That took me to half way though to absorb what was being demonstrated but yeah good tip, liked.
Thank you sir 👍
Excellent
Bonjour merci
So nice.💪😋

Thank you sir
The best👍
i do this with loo roll tubes when taking a dump lol
Good job

Is muantaf👍👍
Where it the guard for your angle grinder young man?
Sick bro
Wow ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Super Tipp!
👍😎🇦🇹
How do you calculate for y piece
nice
For such cuts you use a miter saw. It's much faster!
good job

Yes that's what I was thinking and much easier right

Sketchup does that very easily and is cnc friendly

I used to be able to move this fast now just halfassed
I think you could do the last one with a mitre saw
