What to do when you run out of hours:
Call central dispatch, and let them know. You may even have to call your terminal and let them know. They’ll tell you what to do. It seems like they really want you to get back home, and not stay in a hotel unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Man, I'm glad that you're loving FedEx Freight. The dolly that you were using is made by Silver Eagle. They were bought way back when we were AF. They aren't very well liked, but I don't see what the big problem is with them. That Texarkana terminal is fairly new. It is about 3 years old.

Standard procedure on road side - NEVER turn your back on traffic. Always come around the front for entry or use the passenger side. Looks like an exit wasn't far. Reality- the tire was done for. Riding to the exit ramp gets you further away from highway speed sitting still. Hazards and a lower speed is perfectly acceptable IMO. If you're on the side of the road and out of the vehicle, wear that safety vest. If anything were to happen that vest can make the difference in liability.

@@tamipotirala6973 I do agree that a vest does not make you invincible in any way. From a "post incident" perspective though, I would rather the fact I was clearly taking all steps I could be clear in a legal battle over personal injury than not doing so. Having been involved in roadside type work I have seen the vest make a difference at that point.
