Hi, I currently have a DS-7204HUHI-K1 / P DVR running x4 4MP PoC dome cameras (the same style in the video, assuming my terminology is correct) and x1 4MP PoE dame camera. I’m looking to upgrade the cameras to a better version, as due to their installed location (on the facia of a 3 storey house) we lose the clarity at night. What model would you recommend? Thanks
Hi, The DS-2CE12UF3T-E is the POC 8MP 4K Bullet version, while the DS-2CE72UF3T-E is the equivalent Turret version. I personally prefer the Turret versions for security reasons, eg, being moved with a pole, but on a three storey, this should not be a big issue. P.s. A word to the wise. Make sure the DVR stated has the latest Fireware and latest 4K viewing patch Fireware too from the UK Hikvision Portal. If not, the cameras could be incompatible. Also, check with Hikvision via the serial number that your DVR is not one of the machines that only accepted one 4k 8MP camera on channel 1! If that were the case, the DS-2CE12KF3T-E 3K Bullet POC or the DS-2CE72KF3T-E Turret equivalent would be good. Again, with the latest DVR 3K firmware and any 3K compatability Firmware. Please check the DVR compatability with any of the 4 cameras i have metioned first before purchasing as it is an older DVR model. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
