is there a way to shorten the event post record, it only goes down to 30 seconds?, prerecord lowest is 5 seconds, i'm using the iDS-7208HUHI-M2/P(C) with the latest firmware,
Hi, Unfortunately, Hikvision have changed the minimum post recording period to 30 seconds for 5 seconds on older models. This was actually put in place to help protect HDD's that are on motion / event recording, as the strain is very high on them. As you can imagine, there is unfortunately no way at present on that DVR model you have to shorten it. Hope this helps, Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK
@@CCTVSystemsUK thanks Paul for quick reply, unfortunately i will have to buy a larger capacity SSD, i think i would rather have the HDD straining than my pocket straining,
Unfortunately, that seems to be a facility that was removed when the new Acusense firmware was released for the new DVR / HVR. It looks to me like Hikvision wants to charge for cloud storage themselves in the near future to be perfectly honest! Hope this helps. Regards, Paul CCTV Systems UK @CCTVSystemsUK
