Hes been in slipknot for almost 5 years now but even the new guy who replaced chris looks so natural while playing with them in comparison, like hes been in slipknot for many many years. Besides, although hes good, hes still nowhere near the level of joey's drumming, he doesnt have the same energy.

Agreed. On a song by song basis. This album and subliminal verses are the only 2 albums I can completely play through. This is definitely my 2nd favorite album behind vol 3.
I saw them three days ago. It was my first time since the Vol. 3 era (over a decade ago, for those keeping track). If anything, they’re better live now. I recommend it for anyone who likes metal.
Best song on the album such a well produced track with great riffs thunderous drum beats and Coreys classic switch into that clean chorus its the best hes sounded in years and the best the band's sounded in my opinion you can hear how much they've grown as musicians in 20 years I love the experimentation and they found that heaviness again liars funeral off this album i suggest next its some of Coreys best lyrics
I seen Slipknot in Pittsburgh last night, Amazing show. It was the 20 year anniversary of the first time i seen them in Ozfest 99, when they a second stage act... they didn't stay second stage very long. In 2000 they were headliners.

When he says animosity nobody does it better then the enemy, I think he's talking about his strong hate to himself, him being the enemy because the "Enemy" sometimes is ourselves, him saying those lyrics it seems he's talking to himself. in a mental breakdown form, just yelling "this is what you do best! this is what you do best!" seems like his dealing with self image and depression, MANY meanings in this song. love it.
Corey’s lyrics, energy and aggression in his vocals throughout this entire album is a highlight. Haven’t stopped listening to this album since it came out. Album of the year imo.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep (RIP) was great too in painting that kind of vivid pictures of pain with his lines. After All hope is Gone, where I got a little older and dwelled into extremer music and where I felt Slipknot fell off and I would never listen something from them again that touches me, this new album really surprised me. Some songs remind me of the anger and emotional state that Iowa was. Watch Coreys "The Therapist" episode, that touched me, cause it reflects a lot of my own feelings too growing up and living right know in Rock bottom. And I feel those emotions again in the new record. Props to this guys.

I have a feeling that A Liar's Funeral will get the most discussion on this album. Wasn't a fan of all the songs on the album, some felt repetitive but A Liar's Funeral definitely stood out.
They’ve done a few Behemoth songs and they’ve even done a Rotting Christ song. I don’t know if they’ve done any Kreator. They just need to dive down that well a little deeper. Especially the Rotting Christ well. Missing out on a ton of hidden gems.

I have been watching Slipknot live since 2004, and having just seen them on day 2 of the tour just outside of LA, holy shot that was the best production of any show I’ve ever been to. If you have never seen Gojira, holy fucking shit they will probably amaze you more than Slipknot. I have until this very moment in time avoided musical reaction channels like the plague. I always figured it was just lazy people mooching off of other people's accomplishments to try and make a buck but when I listened to your analytical breakdown of the song especially as a slipknot fan knowing the ins-and-outs of the way they have written in the past I am very impressed and I can't wait to see more.
My ex has narcissistic personality disorder, and it's true to a point they're not the ones afflicted because they are driven by this underlying big ego. But, they do suffer because at times can go into manic episodes of seeking confirmation and attention and to be told that they're basically the best thing since sliced bread. And when they don't get that satisfaction then it can turn to self-loathing and depression for brief periods of time.
