I have a set myself. Great product and great service from Stuart. Another advantage of fitting these is it stops me trying to pack the pole sections the wrong way round at the end of a session 😇
After viewing your video I decided to order a set for my new pole as it seemed to be a very good investment to protect my pole. Had a problem with the No 6 section, as didn't warm the bung enough prior to fitting. an it was about 2mm short of going in completely. Contacted Stuart who advised how to rectify and within minutes all sorted. That's what I call after sales service.
I got these for my Map 401…..they are brilliant. Stuart was really helpful when one section seemed tight…..but with his guidance it went in (like you said Ben - hotter water the trick).
Have both my poles fully fitted out with these have the aligners in my margin pole also great job wish the previous owner of my 14.5m pole had them in as there’s been a few hairline cracks that would have been saved
I’ve fitted them to my last 3 poles and they are excellent. However, during the very hot weather we had in June my pole was stored in an outbuilding. I hadn’t used it for a while as it was advertised for sale and on selling I took the pole out for the buyer to view and every bung had shrunk and literally fell out of every section which was slightly embarrassing. The person buying the pole was a dealer and said he had come across this on several occasions so it would seem they do not like heat so just be aware. Considering how tight they were to fit I was quite surprised at how much they had shrunk. That said it was extreme heat and they are a very good product and Stuart is excellent to deal with.
Got a set myself and had one or two pop out. I’m fairly sure though its the pole itself that expands with the heat thereby making the bungs appear slightly loose.
Fantastic products. There was an initial problem of being a bit tight but Stu talked me through the process and they fitted like your finger fits your ass!!! Stu Jolley proper gent I had the older Preston Protype pole he sent me a vernier gauge to measure the inner and outer mandrel sizes. All sorted
