Gave my 8.5 meter version its first outing at lindholme last week, i quite like the longer top kits it felt like i had a little bit more control when the carp decided to make a run for it after seeing the net, i didn`t feel i had to add a section to compensate Anyone looking for a new margin pole that doesn`t break the bank should check these out , nice review :)
Good video, I’m in for one of these. Perfect timing finding this. Just talking to a guy in the tackle shop about exact same pole yesterday…..then this pops up.
Nevermind you putting that pole through its paces, those carp were giving you a hard time. Seems a well stocked fishery with fighting fit fish! Well done.
How are you Ben it looks a nice bit of kit plenty of backbone in reserve .I think there's a need to take a foot of the topkits they'll still be over 6ft easterly long enough nice paste fish yet again stay safe son
Hi Ben I hope you are doing well I have watched this video so many times but I would like to ask a question. What is the reason of keeping the rod tip under water? Why do we need to do that during the fatigue?
easiest way to explain is if you pick someone up on dry land and feel the weight. then pick them up in water you can do it with 1 hand. the same on the fish allows you to keep the pressure on the fish & not as much on your gear. 9 times out of 10 it will stop or slow there run.
Hi Ben. I hope that you can help me out. I need some advice on choosing the right elastic to elasticat my edge monster but as a beginner I don't want to make a mistake and break the pole or the top kit. Carps are coming up in great sizes like 5lb up to 20lb, plenty of open water around they have space to run away if they need to. What advice could you give me on elastic choice or as a beginner I should leave it out and keep practicing on smaller carps?
Hi Gabor your lookin at a 14 to 16 for the bigger fish a 12 to 14 for medium and 16 to 18 for snags in a hollow elastic or hybrid elastic I've attached a video link that may help. th-cam.com/video/q_CV1jzChRM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/3r-UbK2Jwb0/w-d-xo.html
Angling 4 U I have this pole and its my first one. Its awesome and strong. You can buy more Preston top kits for £50 that are pre-bushed and fitted with side puller bush. Awesome pole I am considering an upgrade to the Protype 400

I’m new to pole fishing and can only fish bang on the bottom with pre made rigs can you do a tutorial on shallow fishing, I don’t know where to start
I upgraded to an edge monster after starting out on a 20.00 cheap Facebook pole
Hi fella if you look through our playlists on features there are a few and in the lockdown playlist how to tie the rigs

no bud this is the newer replacement for the 8.5m its the 10m although they did release a 10m section to fit the older 8.5m one.
