0:20 Don't drink, alcohol is as bad as cocaine, handle your booze, never get drunk in public
    1:17 Read everything, 50 pages a day
1:35 Question people in authority to understand where their instructions are coming from
2:28 Get in shape, do solid exercise regularly, sweat 30 mins daily, watch your diet, eat enough broccoli to balance-out cheeseburgers, walk
5:17 Don't get into debt, college isn't necessary, avoid student debt

Also, remember he said to save or just put away, at least 25% of your income. 'The Richest Man in Babylon' by George S. Clason says to pay yourself first 10% minimum. Just put it away and don't touch it for a long time and only when you need it or when you're investing it. Amazon started out at $18 per share back in 1997. If you had invested only $3K back then, you'd have over $1M today.

I did all these things Gonzalo advises and I was a millionaire at 41.
My goal was 40, but I missed by $50K. Not bad.
It took 18 years of hard work, scrimping, saving, and sacrifice; and sticking to the master plan, but I did it.

To any young guy watching this. I was lucky enough to have older guys around me that preached this stuff. I didn't go to college. I ran my own businesses my whole life. @dvcsub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Gmail 1 thanks for answering. I’m 31 and really need to start something other than just have a job at a warehouse. Getting a real estate license is not “that” hard and some people tell me to just go for it. My dad worked in construction and probably would have created his own business but because of his older age and a language barrier he never did(he can build a house from the ground up, but he’s 72 now) How did you go about getting to where you are now?

    • @neil12011

@Gmail1, what’s your marriage advice sir?

    • @user-nh4tm6hh4j
      @user-nh4tm6hh4j 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

@@dvcsub A real estate license is good but the way I did it was to build wealth in real estate. Buy a rental. To do this it is best to have considerable equity in your own home first. Real estate is actually a very complicated business. You need to understand what creates value in a piece of real estate. How marketing works. How construction works and how day to day management of the property works. My wife and I started in a 12 x 60 mobile home. today 40 years later I'm worth around five million dollars. It doesn't happen overnight but that is actually a good thing. There is plenty of time to learn each step as you need to. I bought a book called real estate investments and how to make them when I was in my early twenties. Very plain language about how the real estate game works. Send me an email if you have a specific question

If you MUST attend college, go for STEM. Even a bachelor here will open doors in your mind that'll make gaining more knowledge easier. If you don't wanna do that, then either study law or perhaps psychology. The latter mostly for yourself. And being able to do sys-admin / IT-admin-work won't go out of fashion anytime soon either. If you wanna go that way, there are MANY nice exams that both Cisco and Microsoft offers - costly, but not as much as a college degree. My (now old) MCSA-exam has been worth it's weight many times over. I took it while working full time, and it took 1½ years of round-the-clock working, but it has opened MANY doors. Also : Be diligent! If you offer quality-products / solutions to the world, the world WILL notice - sooner or later. So, no half-assed products/solutions!

I think he was trying to say that the problem with booze is a lot more subtle. There is acceptance in society, people use it hard on every party they get. But everyone knows coke is gonna destroy you, your life, your family and your neighbors...

I agree with most things G Lira is saying except for debt. Debt can be good if it makes you money. I use credit cards that pay me to shop for my needs like groceries and gas. I never pay interest by paying them off each month. I have thousands in reward points with my Chase Visa and American Express. If you are bad with money stay away from credit cards or learn to be better. I have over 5 million in investment properties that grow at 10% this year so far. I'm in sales and make as much as the doctors in my neighborhood without paying for a college education. Like these guys never stop learning.

I think some people go to school because it demands them to read and learn which is something they wouldn't do on they're own. Some people come out of university smarter than when they came in and that might be worth it to them. But if there was a way they could teach themselves things before falling into the trap of school it would be good.

I like the money philosophy of the coach red pill. Unfortunately, in my country the state grabs about 50% taxes and deductions before you can even think about saving money.

There’s a smart way to drink: glass of water between each serving of alcohol. And my night is no worse for the wear

Alcohol was never addictive to me. I once got wasted - didn't like it at all. I can drink some alcohol and stop at any time, but prefer juice. I am rarely buying alcohol to have it at home - only when expecting guests (and I have a lot of brandies very rarely consumed in a cabinet that are there for literally decades). I just don't understand why drunks care for it, since it simply doesn't work on me that way.

Depending on your ethnicity there’s typically a genetic component for the desire of alcohol, especially with Irish and Scotts.
