I can’t even imagine how good a new albums going to sound.
I love new Veil of Maya, but I still kinda miss the ID Era, that was golden.
Slipknot riff at the beginning.. Maiden in the middle. (It was an intentional nod to both). Veil is just crushing it!

That was one of the weirdest songs I've heard in a long time... Parkway Drive intro, The Trooper solo, 2 step pop chorus, BMTH vibes, djent djent djents, hint of electronicore, 2000's metal core harms... I can't even tell if I like it or not because I'm more confused right now.

This song is an absolute bop, the solo being the trooper riff I thought was crazy, and the glitchy breakdown. Overall a certified banger.

lol hell no, don't compare gold to pyrite, bmth electronics are pretty boring and generic, while this is some tastefull synthwave stuff in the line of kingdom of giants (btw their last album was pretty dope, i dig the synth usage since i'm a big sucker for those retro dx7 yamaha type of spunds)
i think the chorus sounds more like issues in their beautiful oblivion album than bmth
The base guitar in the chorus is very doomed-esque by bmth, Ik the chorus of that song aswell

It was a great lead and a great throwback. The trooper is still a fantastic song even to the day

Just saw them live on this exact tour. While everyone did great and it was an amazing show. Veil honestly just takes it to a whole different level. Their shows have and always will be so flawless and great. DGD was smart to bring these gems with them.

They played it at the DGD tour show other week and it was a really different vibe from viscera and Punisher lol.
Back in 2014/15 I went to a concert where VOM was playing and the singer had bronchitis. So they played their whole set just as an instrumental the and crowd sang all the songs. Awesome.
Not what I expected from VOM but like idk how but it works really well somehow. And the solo I mean come on it’s so cool. Me gusta:)

why not! in other genres this is normal to sample or use old phrases. Keep in mind, the trooper is like almost 40 years old. It was super random and thats why it needed to be there haha

Take note that wacky song doesn’t mean bad song. This was unique but still great, VoM has so much talent and this was them flexing that talent and musicianship in different ways.
