The biggest problem with taking the Baron ability is it not only confirms the Plague Doctor but also confirms no one was those outsiders. Thankfully Lorinda didn't mention being turned into the Klutz, or else Patters wouldn't have his bluff...
NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH This is wild. As I mentioned above, I just randomly found this script and decided to run it on Stream tonight. Then I load up YT and get recommended this video. Which is already mad but kinda makes sense. BUT, I also used the PD to be the Baron instead of Poisoner to make a drunk AND a klutz. I'm freaking out. About to watch the video but cannot believe i Saw this comment lmao.
This is super funny. I love the cavemen-speak element to this. It's funny. Both the ways people find to talk around their actual role "The one who sweeps" or "I have broom" or, best of all "I shoot men". It's amazing. But, like, big props to George, who makes it sound so effortless. It's amazing. Most of the time it just seems so natural, wich the others don't seem to be quite able to pull off. "I think the choir has no boys in it" is a way too funny sentence, though. Also the desperate demanding to know who is good in the end. "The choir has boys in it, it's good." Lol xD
I am still in the set up part of the video, so forgive me if this gets answered during the run of the game- but if a Banshee is killed by the demon while poisoned by the NoDashii, and then the No Dashii moves seats (via Scarlet Woman, Snake Charmer, ect), would the dead Banshee be activated once the poisoning goes away? Or would it be like the poisoned/drunk Philo- once the power is triggered, you lose it whether it works or not?
Although if the banshee already was activated and then got poisoned afterwards by a poisoner for example then they would not have their ability for the duration of the poisoning but reactivate after
Unless otherwise stated, abilities don’t repeatedly check for states. The Banshee ability happens when they are killed by the demon, and so if poisoned when that happens, it will never happen. The only abilities I can think of that jump into effect are ones that say things like “The demon knows who you are (king)”, or “you have the ability of the most recently executed executee (cannibal)”. Don’t feel like looking up the wording on Evil Twin, but I know it is a “an opposing player knows”, so updates continually. If somehow a self poisoning Black Widow became sober, a ping would go out because it’s wording is also “A good player knows you exist”. Compare all of these to “you start knowing”, which won’t ever get corrected when you become sober and healthy.
Because Jams knew he was playing poetry for neanderthals, and could only use one syllable words, he was surprised to get a Mez word with three syllables (which he couldn't directly say to another person)
I just ran this script on Stream and then I load up TH-cam and it recommends me this video. That's wild. Google scares me. Well, that's my next 2 hours sorted.
yes, but it's so satisfying with all the risks they took that they ended the game with 2 evil and no good alive. also their character requires them to pick a player upon death. i think they were wanting to save all details for the grim reveal
@@TheFinalChapters I don't think that is true. Because the Klutz's ability is part of the execution. Meaning that if Lorinda picked wrong it would mean Evil wins and Loses, meaning Good wins. As Good wins on ties.
@@voorp i don't think it's a tie situation though, if the evil Klutz picked evil upon their death, their evil team loses, doesn't matter that there is only one remaining good and one demon, the Klutz's decision is a game-ending condition. And yeah the Klutz MUST pick when executed and dies, it's in the rules.
It always disappoints me to see players purposely getting Mez-turned just for fun. It feels like it takes away all of the challenge of the Mez ability. Instead of the risk being "you might be too obvious in seeding the Mez word, and draw suspicion," the risk is just "you might offer Mez turning to someone who's not interested" -- which, in this and the TPI group, never seems to happen. The players always seem perfectly happy to go along with it -- which means there's no real risk involved. It feels like such a sting for the good team, who just lost a player for no reason except lulz. It's fundamentally different from playing as the Goon or the Politician, where the player is intended by design to lean into the idea of turning evil -- so watching a Mez game just ends up feeling like watching a Bounty Hunter game, but with no offsetting positive benefit for the good team. Now, realistically, I can tell that the players in these streams are all fine with that kind of gameplay, so obviously it's totally cool to play that way if you know your table are all happy with that being the case! But I know that, as a player, I would feel really let down if my table was playing the Mez role like that.
Why does it seem like Amy Rose leaves so many games before they are completed? Is the etiquette of that less of an issue than I feel? The town getting less interaction and lacking a carefully aimed first dead vote is rough, and then also kinda gives outside the game info that the player is almost undeniably good and less invested with the tense outcome of the match.
These games are originally run on stream in the timeslot directly before the Pandemonium Institute (company which makes Clocktower) streams games on their Twitch channel, and many of the players in these games are also part of those - often means they have to nip away really quickly in order to get set up for their next commitment on that channel. Amy isn't the only one of us it happens to! Everyone here will usually hang around to debrief if we aren't overrunning, but the show must go on!
@@GeorgeAnkers Huh, okay thanks for the insight. As I generally only see the youtube uploads from various peoples VOD's it might have just been unfortunate coincidence that Vod clip worthy content were ones where she left disproportionately.
Robert pretending his mic was muted to avoid claiming a role was incredible.
ME NO WAKE is a fine alternative to "I do not wake in the night"
Serious props to George for speaking in one syllable words so effortlessly
I adore the monikers for the characters everyone came up with. "I shoot men." "the one who sweeps", and so on
HAVE BROOM 😂
"i mean if there are no gods" is an amazing way to say atheist
The cavespeak flips between fun and infuriating so many times over the course of the game.

The entire conversation at 1:34:06 has me in stitches. “They don’t have to mez turn me. I have resting evil face.” 😂😂😂

Lorinda did amazing!
That ending... my heart... lol
seriously, HAVE BROOM should be worked into a BOTC official merch
lmao, klutz, best role in the game

Yeah, once it has failed to trigger it has failed once and for all.

12:19 what did George originally comment? I'm not sure what he was surprised at. "Oh, did not give me a word with just one"

@@Ellie-rx3jtthanks, worked it out after watching 15m more. But was very confused when it happened because I'm not sure it was explained any earlier
Most Excellent 😎

2:06:20 Klutz pick doesn't matter here. The game ends as soon as the Klutz dies, meaning their power does not trigger.
