    Great tutorial Roc. Sitting in front of my KO2 going over things with you. If I may make a request..... PLEEEASE go over patterns soon. I have a hard time extending patterns. Every time I try to double a patterns length, all it does is add blank bars. 🙄🤔🤔🤔

    • @rochefsky
      @rochefsky  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes - definitely adding pattern part 2 asap - and yes, extending adds blanks… but copy paste BARS works well for that - I’ll include in next video!

      @E4RLIES 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am on day 3 and have brain melt too!😂
      There are two copy modes
      BAR and PTN
      to extend your pattern..
      (First extent the length or it won’t paste)
      Then use the copy BAR
      Go to the new measure and PASTE
      hope that makes sense!

      I have the same problem if you mean patterns to be sequences.
      There seems to be a number of ways to call things which confuses me.
      Eg...patch/ pad
      Sequence/ pattern
      The SQ1 sequencer was logical for me to understand because the knobs and stages were in front of me. With the KO2 they are not.

    • @rochefsky
      @rochefsky  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes - pattern is a sequence on one sound group... so much lingo...

    Can you please confirm that when you load samples from the sample banks held on your pc that when you click on them the wave forms show on the screen?
    Also is it possible to hear the samples before we load them?
    I will look at your tutorial again more in depth.
    Thank you for an excellent tutorial.
    Do you like the KO2?

    • @rochefsky
      @rochefsky  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The waveform doesn’t seem to show on screen in the app until it is actually loaded into a pad on the device - but you can preview the sample once it is in the app before you load it onto a pad by selecting it and then again by tapping your computer keyboard space bar when it is selected on screen (it plays out of the device itself - not my computer speakers).
      Yes - I really love this device, with all its quirks, I find myself often getting deep into music making because it’s easy and fun!

      Many thanks.
      I must be exceptionally dumb as I find it the hardest thing to operate and everyone says uts easy.
      I just don't get the sequencer.
      I am not sure if I have to first programme 8, 8T, 16 16T, 32, 32T?
      I cannot seem to tap in the simplest drum beat.
      A steady four beats in a bar.
      Its the sequencer that is really frustrating me.
      Please please do a video on it.
      I will be so grateful.
      I am quite old so that may be the reason but I have to overcome these tech problems to keep my brain working!
      Thank you so much for your reply.

    • @rochefsky
      @rochefsky  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are really two ways to program the sequencer... either go to the beat (using the +/- pads while in MAIN mode) where you want a note, and hold record while tapping the pad/note you want to place there.... OR.... record in real time - tapping pads while the device is playing the metronome or other parts of the pattern. I'll try to do another super simple video... but you're NOT DUMB... these devices are just quirky!! :)

      Thank you and much appreciated.
      Its starting to make sense yet.
      What I do not fully understand is
      1. How long many bars I can make the sequence?
      2. When does the 8 8T 16 16T 32 32T come into the programming.
      Are they to do with how many beats in a bar and do we have to programme that in first.
      My brain is thinking as if using music writing software like ( noteworthy) and others in which we must first type in how many bars there are.
      I might be thinking too deep which is why I find things a bit hard.
      If someone drew a map of how the sequencer is laid out that would help.

      @@petercane6376 99 bars in any pattern... from the way I've used the device, the TIMING mostly applies to the Repeat feature (when you hod shift+timing) and within sound design there are some ways to sync to the bpm but I haven't explored deeply.
