i dont even own it yet but your video helped me so much. im a geek for gear so learning it before i even touch it is something i usually do. great video. make more!
I hope that future EP units come with Bluetooth for midi.. As many phone based software synthesizers that are out there it works be great to control them without cables in a mobile set up
Yea man, there's so much potential with this machine. I'm waiting until around December to see if TE drops a significant software update. If they don't then I just might end up selling mine.
I can't seem to find a way to connect my EP - 133 to my audio interface which is Zen Q, I probably sound very noob but atleast I've got a pair of mini jack to 2 trs, can you help me out on how to connect them?
Hey! I think you're on the right path. If you want to record the audio out from the KO II you just need to take that cable and connect it to the inputs of the Zen Q. Then in Logic create an audio track and set the inputs to the input channels that you're using on the Zen Q to get the audio from the KOII. Press play on the KO and record arm the track on Logic and you should be all good.
I basically want to hear the sound that comes from KO II out of my speakers which are connected to the audio interface. There's a second pair of line out is available but doesn't bring up any sound; sound I connect the KO II as an instrument to the interface perhaps? Thanks for your time and response. @@MrMooseMusic
@@iamdeejaymelody I think, you need to plug the mini jack into the "Output" of KO II, then the 2 TRS endings into the "Input" of your audio interface. Now I don't know if the Zen Q has direct monitoring but try to create an audio track in Logic and set the Inputs of that to the same Inputs that you are using on the Zen Q. I think this should work, in theory at least :D
@@iamdeejaymelody We're close, sounds like half a victory :D So at least now you're getting a signal. I think now it is a question of configuration on the Zen Q. Check if it has like some gain switch for the input channels? Maybe there's a software that comes with and inside there you can make some adjustments? On my audio interface I have button next to the input channels that allows me to switch between Line and Instrument. In the case of the KO II you need to go for the Line setting in Zen Q. Hope it works out!
@@MrMooseMusic Same. It is not changing at all. I have a flashing USB icon on my Ep-133 when I press play on Logic but both has their own clock. It is not sync
@@serkandal2209 hmmm, that's very strange. And now when I think about it, the global sync settings are not even relevant here. Have you tried to first connect your KO II to the USB port of the laptop, then turn the device on, and only afterwards launch logic and set the sync options as per the video? It should work. Otherwise, I'm wondering are you able to trigger the midi tracks in Logic? Please reply here so that others with similar issue might find a solution too.
@@MrMooseMusic I did exactly how you did it in the video. Everything is same when we look at the settings but I thing I am missing something. Maybe there is a difference somewhere that you didn't show in the video. Let's say I did something wrong? How can I start over? Should I go default settings somewhere with both or something else?

Thank you!
Thanks! Hopefully your confidence increases, because this was a great tutorial. Have a EP-133, and only use Logic, so this was perfect for me :D
Thank you! :)
Man this was so helpful!! I did it on Ableton and works great! Much thanks!
Awesome, thanks man. Great to hear that you've made it work with Ableton!

Solid info. thanks
Very helpful! Thank you !
You earned my sub, dear sir
Hi, could you use the onboard fx on a loop from a Logic audio track?
does this work for tracking beats you made in the EP 133 into logic or is it only to use the KO II as a controller? Midi is hard!
This is only used as a controller. Currently there is no audio over usb function in the KO II but who knows, maybe they'll add it in the future.

wouldn't I need to also connect the midi out of the KO II EP-133 to the audio Interface to sync or will it work with just USB?
No need. USB over midi does the trick.
hi! :) what cable do you need for the output, to record in logic while playing on ep133 ?
You need a mini jack to stereo jack cable. Something like this: shorturl.at/8h22A
can they one day make it appear as a hardware instrument like they did with the OP-1 (onriginal) via a software update?
I think so but I have to admit that I'm disappointed with the updates that the device has received so far.

there's a second pair of line out which i did connect but get only a tiny tiny amount of sound, maybe through logic is better. @@MrMooseMusic

I did the same things but it is not synced. I am pressing play in logic but I don't have anything on EP-133
Ah yea? Could you try to go to EP 133 settings and set the SYNC to IN?

@@serkandal2209 Always a good idea to start all over again! Try using another project on the EP 133 instead of resetting to factory settings.
