I carry a full size Beretta 92x MORE comfortably and MORE concealed than my Glock 19 in a standard belt holster. I think it's because when the all the weight of the gun is on the belt, it's constantly pulling down on your belt and the whole gun shifts against your body with your pants/belt moving. With the enigma, the weight is almost integrated into your core and your pants/beltline is free to move and shift without moving all the weight of the gun around. I actually conceal the Beretta 92 under a tucked in dress shirt no problem. If you need to tuck your shirt in and don't want to be limited to a pocket pistol, this is the only correct way. The cost is a bit much for the material in my opinion, but at the same time, there's not really anything out there that works as well as this and it does everything I could ask for so I can't complain too much.
I own the Phlster Enigma Express for my P365 with an optic. I've used it steadily for over a year. Like you, I don't use the leg leash, and that's fine for me. I've got a box of holsters, and when I bought each one I thought it would be "The One." But the Enigma Express finally is. I love not having my gun attached to my clothing. I thought it would be too bulky under my clothing, but the thing just disappears.
I think the leg leash is for ensuring the draw doesn't pull for those who have a very tightly holster. Not sure if you have had much issue without the leash and the draw stroke? If not, might be something I'll consider when my Enigma arrives
It is but the problem is you have to take your pants off or pulled down to put the leg leash on. I’m more about the quick on quick off. I put a belt clip on it now which does the same job as the leg leash. I also don’t put very much retention on the holster so not having the leg leash isn’t an issue
@@MichiganDad Right on!! I'll see how the Skeleton holster retention is for the CCW I'm carrying is without the leg leash. Usually like to do a loooot of draws with any holster I get xD! Need to ensure I know exactly how the holster is going to behave nearly every draw 😅. If leg leash isn't needed, then the on/off process of the Enigma will be like a dream
Nice review. I solved the leg leash issue by replacing it with an ulti clip, the small thin one. I attached it on my standard enigma where the belt attaches. Maybe it works for you.
Comfort wasn’t the issue. I wanted quick on and quick off while I was driving. I’m a teacher and was going in and out of schools where I couldn’t wear it. Traveling between two different schools each day I needed that quick on quick off setup.
hey man, if ur not goona run the leg strap, (i never have) you gotta pick up an UltiClip and attach it to the two holes on the face plate, its def a must. i keep its it in place and is the only way u can properly one hand draw under pressure
Think you can fix your con by using a DCC clip on the holster and it should solve your problems. Heard many people do that if they decide on skipping out on the leg leash
I know you said in your xiphos v2 holster review that color doesn’t matter, but if you could pick one color for the tier 1 holster what would it be? Never realized they have so many to choose from 😅
OD Green is my favorite but their Storm Grey is very nice as well 👍 if you don’t mind spending extra try their buffalo plaid OD green. Love that design but it’s like $20 bucks extra
Hey from Michigan! I was looking into the T.Rex arms sidecar 2.0 and stumbled across your video on it, which lead to me stumbling upon this video. Do you wear this enigma holster more than the sidecar? Also, this really intrigues me for times where I have to dress up with a tucked in shirt or the like, does it work well for that?
Yes it is perfect with dress attire. You will just need to loosen the belt a little more to fit the holster underneath the belt. But Ive worn a firearm with it to weddings before. No one knows its there. Believe it or not I actually have the t rex arms sidecar 2.0 w/ tourniquet attachment on my phlster enigma right now for the Sig X Macro. And I love the way it feels.
Do you have enough.clearence to get a strong master grip.when you draw? I am struggling with that.as i need to somehow rotate my middle knuckle to make sure i get a good grip
It is not really designed to get a perfect master grip every time due to it not having clips to hold it in place but I can get it most of the time with the Glock. You really got to stab your hand into the grip to get the master grip
Theirs another review from a Marine who actually shows he runs with the express, and I myself have run with mine. No issues. I do agree with the other holsters indeed and know some personally use the belly band for active life. When asked what seems to shun people from this holster is price point.
@@MichiganDad HAHAHA yeah you're right. Not really sure how to say that any other way. it looks like it works great for the fit and trim people. @@einstein3509 They say the standard belt fits a size 46 waist. If you but the sports belt version I have heard it fits up to a 50 inch waist. I mean I cut a big portion of belt off of mine so I guess it depends on your waist size more than weight. I hope that helped.
Apologies for the lighting guys … something weird is going on between my editing software and TH-cam. I’ve been trying to figure it out
I just got mine today! Surprisingly, my husband and I was very impressed with the quality. Thanks for sharing your video!
No problem! I am glad it worked out for you. I too was very impressed by it and can't believe it took me so long to buy it. God bless

I’ve been using the tier 1 edc s belt with a xiphos elite whenever I am wearing gym shorts or sweat pants that has been working pretty well so far

@@mattflame9046 I’ve heard of that but I have bigger issues on deciding what gun to use the enigma for lol 😂
Great video Thanks !!! How does it work when you wear a belt?\
I loosen the belt then put this on then tighten the belt over top and it works well 👍 I prefer it with no belt but it works both ways

Does this work for bigger guys? Got a bit of a dad bod and some holsters can cause some pain
The standard belt will fit up to a 46” waist. If you buy the upgraded sports belt, that belt fits up to a 50” waist.
Never put it on though
Doesn't work for Beretta 92FS style pistols so no go for me.

On their website it says only their skeleton holster will work with the express model. But you’re able to change it out?
Any holster works with it as longs as it has the correct holes. I think they meant their skeleton phlster holster works for it
@@MichiganDad I see. Thank you for clarifying.
Will the firearm with a light attached to it fit in the holster along with the optic?
Yea for sure 👍 you just need a holster that is light bearing. I know phlster has one they sell. I think it’s called the floodlight

Seems like a lot of hard features at the hip flexors and central pelvis. Not sure jogging with it is even remotely comfortable?
Yea this is a no go for jogging. You would be looking more for a belly band to keep in secured to your body as much as possible.

I love my belly band
How I can order it to canda
Not sure I would ask the company
How do you think this would work for the fat guys?
Fat is a subjective term. It comes with a pretty big strap. Guess it depends what your definition of fat guy is
