One of my favorite tracks from the 80s.
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight by Genesis (1986)
Written by Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford
Invisible Touch album
featured the Yamaha DX7 II FD, the Moog Taurus bass pedal, Linndrum and Simmons Drums
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.
Check out the original songs with the original artists here on TH-cam.
Thank you.

🎹💥🔥😸
Genesis and Phil Collins solo made some of the most atmospheric songs of the 80s. This is what we'd call "a whole mood" these days. And this cover is incredible! I think it's actually a better quality mix than the record, the Taurus is really making itself known.
Thank you so much 🙌
Ah, this exquisite, sophisticated melody and the vibes of the eighties, of course, too..!😻
A 80s classic. Thanks again dear friend 🙌

Отличная работа, мой друг! DX7 - это всегда праздник👍
Спасибо большое друг 🙌🎹
One of my favourite Genesis song, thx!
Agreed. Thank you 🎹🙌
как всегда шикарно!
Спасибо большое 🙌
Excellent as always. The DX7 fits great for those kind of sounds. Once I was on a Taurus demo. Loudspeakers almost blow when the right pedal was moved to opening filter.
Thank you kindly Jose 🙌
Sounds fantastic!👍
Thank you 🎹🙌
Thanks. Great sound!
Thank you Arthur.🎹🙌
Incredible!! I am so jealous of your ARP Quadra
Thank you so much for your time

Thanks a lot 🎹🙌
Absolutely AMAZING!!!🤘😎🤘
Thank you so much
Fantastic!
Thank you 🙌
Ah getting the classic DX7 out. Great demo cover of this track. This band as used so many synths in their time they must of tried most of them lol. Got to say I don’t understand the foot pedal thing you’re using? Does it give you extra keys and voices? I see you use it a lot but don’t seem to understand it much. Sorry to sound thick here. Anyway love seeing another favourite synth of mine the beautiful Yamaha, think the mark 2 version is better with a clean sound as the old original had a more dirty sound. Both great in their own ways. The DX1 is a beautiful machine and not many about now. Love what you do and thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you very much Michael. I'm glad you like the video. The Moog bass pedal was developed as part of the Moog Constellation System with Polymoog and a Solo Synth. The system never came on the market but Taurus and Polymoog did. The Taurus is similar to a Minimoog but with pedals. The Taurus can produce very deep bass frequencies that can destroy loudspeakers. It has a bass booster. Nobody can keep up with the original Taurus. Have a nice weekend.
Very faithful recreation! Well done
Thank you 🙌

Absolutely love this. Also one of my favourite tracks and if I’m not mistaken one of the first singles released on CD?
Thank you so much.🎹🙌
Reckon you can play Firth of Fifth? I really struggle with the lead part on that track :/
Not easy to play. 🎹😁
Perfect! Do you know which synth Tony used for the chords?
Thank you. I think a Prophet 10 and DX
Great Work my dear Friend 🎵👍👋👋👋 I've made a Cover from "Follow You Follow Me"... Warm Greetings from Germany ! 🎶🎵🎹
Thank you so much.
Greetings from austria 🇦🇹
what‘s that e-drum? Looks like a Yamaha child toy. How is that highpitched FM sound created, that sounds a bit like the Roland „spectrum“ sample from their earliest libraries?
Looks like a Yamaha DD-50.
I use the Midi Out. Not the sounds of the Yamaha DD50.
I always assumed the toms were from a drum machine
Yes.
The original sounds a little tinny compared to this.
Thank you for watching
