I once heard someone say, "I don't HAVE to read my Bible...I GET to read my Bible!" As you discovered, you look forward to it every day! My best advice is to not be in a hurry to read the Bible, but to leave yourself enough time to truly digest what you are reading. When I have tried to follow Daily Reading plans, I only felt pressure to read every selection, even if I had to hurry to complete it. It didn't feel worshipful to me. It would be like sitting down with a loved one for a visit and checking your watch the whole time; hoping it would be over soon! And I love the Amplified version, too! Blessings to you, dear...Pam
Yes, I GET to read my Bible! I agree about the daily reading plans. That’s something I struggled with because of the pressure to complete it, but not really understanding what I read. I stopped doing reading plans on my Bible app for this reason. I love the comparison with sitting down with a loved one. Thank you and blessings to you!

I like to do verse maps sometimes when I study. I did 1 verse map series for each chapter in Romans. ❤Amanda, you might be interested since you studied Romans. It's on my channel.
