    I’m paying a lot of money because of the incredible Super Retina display. I’d never use a screen protector that dulled it. One quick wipe with a microfiber cloth removes any fingerprints. I always use a high quality glass screen protector

    Thank you for sharing ! I have recently bought for my iPad Pro something like Paperlike which also makes the screen anti-glaring and together with the Reduce White Point option (with full brightness) it gets closer to reading books on an iPad as on a Kindle .

    It’s actually worse as the reflections while diffused are now bigger so text is less readable

    Given that its made from PET film, not tempered glass, its not going to give you hardly any drop protection or scratch protection with a hardness level of 3-4H.

  • @zebonautsmith1541

    nice that it was inexpensive but I found the matte very weak. I can still see reflections. I used to use Power Supports; which had good "blurry" matte effect for reflections; but apparently they don't make one for the 14 pro max. What company has the best anti glare to kill those annoying reflections?

    • @Anjoel
      @Anjoel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also find most of these modern Matte screen protectors to be weak on the matte/frosted finish. They're all a bit too glossy still - I preferred the matte finish of protectors made a couple years ago, which have a stronger/rougher matte or frosted finish, just like the Power Support ones you're mentioning. Unfortunately, they're really hard to find now.
      One recommendation are the matte hydrogel style protectors. They're slightly different from these film protectors but usually have the finish you're looking for. You can find them on Aliexpress for a couple bucks! Good luck.

    A shame they don't sell them in Europe. I like the fact that they are not glass. I can't understand the hype about glass... all the ones I've seen are damaged. Plastic is so much convenient IMO.

    • @antovarguez
      @antovarguez ปีที่แล้ว

      The advantage of glass if that it protects the actual screen from shattering if you drop it or it gets hit at certain angles. With a plastic one the screen is the one that breaks.

    You want little bit of light glare for installing anti glare screen protector 😂

  • @Later_Nerd
    @Later_Nerd ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why not install a matte tempered glass protector? It will provide some actual impact protection and look the same. I have one on my iPad Pro and Steam Deck. They work great. The film ones don't provide any actual protection. Against scratches from keys in your pocket I guess, but they do nothing for drops or dropping anything on it.

    • @JerrySchulze
      @JerrySchulze  ปีที่แล้ว

      You have a brand you recommend?

    • @Later_Nerd
      @Later_Nerd ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JerrySchulze Went and looked it up. Looks like I had Motcha on the iPad Pro and Magglass on the Steam Deck. Both are equally as nice.
      The Mothcha one has a glossy lip around the whole thing that kinda makes it look premium. Works great with an Apple Pencil and Procreate, more control compared to just the bare screen imo.
      The Magglass one I don't touch often, but it does do a good job of allowing me to play games on the go outside. It is an exact fit for the Deck which I guess not many do. It goes completely to each corner, which makes it maybe a little harder to install. But it almost looks like there isn't a protector on it at all once you're done because the fit is so precise.
      I've never had one on my phone, but now I'm waning to try it. Something about the matte actually makes a device feel more premium to me despite the comments saying the contrary. They're just cool looking lol.
