I love the inclusion of a rhythm bar. Really helps with timing, especially for those who struggle with timing the notes correctly. I'm assuming that it serves a gameplay purpose of being a Fever accumulator but it also works well as a guide for those with auditory impairment too!

It genuinely warms my heart to hear those hearty rhythms and adorable vocals again, after all this time - feels so revitalizing! Like there's a new wind in my sails! What's interesting is that although it sounds like a fictitious ethnic language, it actually contains many meaningful Japanese words and even one Chinese word.
It's really quite simple, if someone had told me at any point during my life that the Patapon devs were going to revive the franchise with a new game and IP in over a decade after the third Patapon, I would have called them mentally deranged and unfathomably delusional. This is one of the absolute best surprises I've had in the past at least 5 years, I've rewatched all their videos a couple dozen times each now and I keep tearing up whenever I do. A lot of people have genuinely no idea what this means to the fans, but goddamn, if this game goes well, all of us, new and old fans alike, are in for one heck of a ride.
Please put the music on Spotify when the game comes out. It's just the trailer but I'm already listening to it on repeat because it's just a god damm bop!

@@wesley383gamerif you have a steam deck even better! There’s plenty of tutorials for an emulator specifically designed for steam deck called emu deck. I haven’t been there for the og releases, but they’re still fun emulated

@Condix_YT it is the same staff from the same studio that made Patapon. Sony shutdown their studio, they made a new one that got crowdfunded. this for them is their middle finger to Sony. They make it too much like Patapon, infringe too much on it and it might just get cease and desisted cause Sony still owns the rights.

Never been this happy for a new rhythm game every since Patapon 3 and that was 13 years ago. I feel old and yet, still happy to see such colourful graphics. I'm so excited.
The only reason its not is because sony still have the license for patapon i think, but the people from the original studio got together to make this so its pretty close!!

I think they heavily remade rythm commands, and maybe there will be something harder than a few 4 buttons commands and 5 button Ultimate
