He should be filing suit against the city building department for approving the plans as well.
That building is doomed and without an adequate foundation, it will tip over in a moderate size earthquake.

@@kqa2893 The building has high end appliances and fixtures that might have good resale value. The homeowner's association should hire a salvage service to remove everything of value while the elevators are still working. Once the building has been stripped clean of valuables, the HOA can hire a demolition contractor.
At this rate we won't need the earthquake.

The lawyers should go after the: architect of record, the city for lack of doing a comprehensive plan check; the SEOR; soils engineer of record who did a faulty soils report; the contractor of record who proceeded with construction knowing the soil was soft and he didn't send in a RFI to the architect asking is it permissible to built on soft soil. . The only winners will be the lawyers. The tenants should get out of this bldg b4 it collapses.
It's not so bad it can't be somewhat haphazardly cobbled back together with enough tax payer money.
A building of this height & displacement is expected to sink 6 inches throughout it's lifespan.
It has already sunk more than 20 inches and it is tilting at the same time.

When the millennium tower sinks, it will be a good foundation to build something else on top of it.
I have this sinking feeling that something is wrong.
I'd be out of there so fast. Forget selling it, wouldn't want to put someone else in that deathtrap. Honestly, I'd just maintain the insurance so I'd get a payout when it finally goes.
That would be the ideal route to go. However, I doubt any insurance company would let you take out a policy on such a liability.

As a master engineer. I have calculated that the building will fall in the direction that it is leaning.
Lift the foundation out of the water and make a solid foundation after pumping out the water and adding rock or cement or whatever. May need to start at the corners and edges of the property or building and the center or the cylinders. Its a scientific method to drain a swamp or drill a water well and pump it dry then fill it to specifications for a foundation for a specific weight and that can still be done in proportion so each section can firm correctly without weight upon it causing damage. The thing is you would probably have to invent it or find a firm to do it and sounds like they are saying it is normal settling. Sorry Mr, Montana.

Not before they go broke, tried an convicted of fraud malfeasance and negligence. Then, when the tower is condemned and dismantled, the building department that approved the engineering tried and convicted of bribery, corruption and malfeasance.

commercial/business area? I'd want to live in a residential neighborhood. I'm guessing that area of S.F. at

A few years ago, a person I met was upset because a young dude he knew took His own life. As upsetting as it is, the upside is that the young mans father was a billionaire builder who made skyscrapers. Justice was served.
It’s not a scam, they didn’t do it on purpose. Watch a video on how the foundation soil and water deteriorated. Nobody could have predicted this would happen.
The scam is that they sold units, knowing about the problem, but without disclosure. It has also been alleged that the developer witheld foundation details from the building dept.
Get Trump in there to fix it!... he'll get the job done.
