it is hard for anyone to have a favourite Maiden song. when each of their songs tells a different story. you have "The Trooper" which is about the Charge of the Light Brigade. "Aces High" about the Battle of Britain. "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" which is based on the famous poem. "The Flight of Icarus" about the Greek Myth and many many more.
@@alexandremaireno-ni4ectotalmente de acuerdo contigo....es muy difícil elegir solamente una.....llevo 40 años escuchando a MAIDEN y aún me es imposible elegir.
One of the best live performances i have ever witnessed, Bruce Dickinson is up there as one of the greatest frontmen of all time, the theatrics, the voice, the persona, stage presence, he has everything... This is one of my favourites!!! Saw them live in Western Australia last year.. The whole band were Awesome
Bruce was new to the band when this was recorded, his voice was astounding when he was at this stage in his career, one of the greatest songs ever written, 42 years later and it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, fabulous!!
It was about damn time to witness their greatness girl. Now you have lots of hours of material... If you liked that song, they have written more than 30 songs of same quality! This is why they are the greatest band of all times in many peoples opinion. I have heard this song in many versions and over 200 times in total and I am still getting chills. Imagine that... Keep it up with Maiden and you won't regret it!
Scream for me, Long Beach !!!!!! With that being said ..... there are so many favourite Maiden songs ....... today i will go with "The Prophecy", or maybe "Infinite Dreams" .... or "Revelations" ......or "Sea of madness" ...or ...."The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" ....... or ......."The Assassin" .... or "Afraid to shoot strangers" ......
This is my favorite song by Iron Maiden and also one of my favorite songs ever. I've been a fan for 40 years and I was finally able to see them back in November for the first time. They are in their 60's and 70's now but still rock just as hard as they did back in 1982 when this was recorded ✌
Same here, favourite band, probably favourite song by any band. 25 years as a fan. Next summer it’s the tenth and possibly the final time for me to se them live. It never gets old!
One of the greatest voices, not only in Metal, but in music. The Grandfathers of Metal, imo. It simply doesn't get much better than Iron Maiden and Bruce Dickinson. Up the Irons!! And might I add that I have never seen a more animated reaction from you to a music video = so nice.
One of my favourite singers of all time! As for favourite songs by Maiden, this one probably tops my list, along with "22 Acacia Avenue" which I think is a little bit on the proggy side and the second in a series of songs that tell the tragic tale of "Charlotte the Harlot". However, they have released many other really, _really_ good songs. To mention some, "Children of the Damned", "2 Minutes to Midnight", and "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", which again is a bit on the proggy side. Thanks for checking out this iconic band!
I have 55 to 69 favorite Maiden songs 🤘🎸 This one certainly is pretty much their epic of them all Had Wasted Years stuck in my brain often recently Thanks for the reaction - great as always 🎊
From queen to maiden to zeppelin sabbath n priest over 4 decades of magic still now filling arenas bruce now in his 60s even after throat cancer surgery sounds amazing there performances live second to none and story telling of history magnificent no 1 better❤❤❤❤❤
Hi from Sheffield england as a gen x fan of english and all Heavy metal and rock i grew up seeing listening to all the greats legends of metal im the late 70 s 80s now known now as the godfathers of meyal
I'm 48 and have experienced and loved Maiden since I was 14! You should also check out "Fear of the Dark" from Rio which many holds to be the best live rock/metal performance of all time. Even though I wasn't there, I can feel it from the footage 🙂
Revelations, Still Life, Dance of Death En Vivo , The Trooper, Aces High, and Rime of the Ancient Mariner flight 666. These are my favorites in this order to start off. This is my favorite band.
Hi Emma, excellent reaction as always, Iron Maiden are an important part of my childhood. My cousin who was a teenager at the time loved them, and had the posters of their album covers all over his wall! Another song from back then, though less Heavy Rock, more New Wave, Working With Fire And Steel by China Crisis, could be an idea for a future video, with it's driving bassline. I've just heard it for the first time in a while today.
It’s always been Iron Maiden. Yet what is also a pioneer band of rock whose creativity has no boundaries is that of Thin Lizzy. Play a live version of most songs but for “Dancing in the Moonlight” or “Romeo and the Lonely Girl”. Cold Sweat and The Cowboy Song are great live from The Regal Theater or the ‘78 Sydney Opera House.
Great reaction Emma. Glad you chose the perfect versionof this song. If you want Bruce even more completely in character, look up Powerslave, live at Long Beach.
Everyone online wished that man a happy birthday to get an image of how big of a deal these people are. I mean many bands are but there is a real devotion here like the kind of thing Taylor Swift has that only comes from earning your fans respect. Else...that voice. THAT VOICE! Glad you picked this version too. I haven't heard a live cut of this I did not love but there is something about this young version performance. One of those things where we are also watching and hearing history made and change. People heard this back then and the future was set.
Excellent reaction! The 7 LPs released by Iron Maiden in the 80s: masterpieces... I suggest the reaction, analysis of the following songs by this sacred, masterful, immortal English heavy metal band: Rime of the Ancient Mariner ("Live After Death" version) Phantom of the Opera ("Live After Death" version) Alexander The Great (studio version) Where Eagles Dare (studio version) Killers (studio version) Revelations ("Live After Death" version) Powerslave ("Live After Death" version) Flight of Icarus ("Live After Death" version) Infinite Dreams (studio version) Remember Tomorrow (studio version) 22 Acacia Avenue ("Live After Death" version) Greetings from Brazil!!!
Bruce Dickinson is just like the rest of us: he puts on his pants one leg at a time. The only difference is that after he puts on his pants he makes platinum albums.
For me, this is easily in my Top 5 live performances on video. Besides the amazing vocals and technical proficiency with the instruments, this is showmanship at its best! Not sure if you have seen Rush's live performance of Xanadu from their 'Exit, Stage Left" album. Be sure to check it out if you haven't.
Still with those pretty eyes :) If you ask me Bruce has one of the best voices in metal history, I'm sure people would agree with me on that :) And the band is legendary no douvt! I also remeber that you has another channel before? Anyway I would recommend "Dimash - Stranger" if you wan''t to hear a truly great singer :) Greetings from Sweden!
Should check out the band Lovebites. They are huge Iron Maiden fans and play 80s-style metal. Both guitar players are freakishly talented. And they are all chicks.
My favorite song by Iron Maiden is Run to the HIlls. If you are looking for a new American group to check out, try the rock band Heart. One of the best bands from the 70s and 80s.

The level of control to do that is astonishing, as this is from before he got virtually all his vocal training. He discovered, for himself, how to do all this in the short time he'd been in the band at this stage, and that puts it on a whole new level.
..i disagree, pure operatic and heavy is not a good mix, doesn't do it for me like nightwish... IM the band is a once one of a kind audio visual experience🤘
Thanks for the great analysis! You need to check out the much more recent live version of this from Toronto to see how Bruce's voice was aging (I think it was better in 2008 IMO).
Naming a Favorite Maiden song is kinda impossible for lots off Maiden fans. Because they never were a singles band. They make records. And sometimes a song gets radio airplay because it was released as a single. For me The best albums are thier live albums. Cant go wrong with Beast over Hammersmith. It's good seeing that great music is being appreciated today. I was fortunate to see them perform back in 1987.
