- Check out our unique video where we test out a fully custom axis design on the DJI AVATA platform. I compare it to to the original AVATA and push it to it's limits at some crazy waterfalls in the Bruar and Fort William regions up in the Highlands of Scotland. I discuss all the fantastic features and minor drawbacks of this set up and allow you to be the judge through some epic footage.

Nice job Jack, I haven't flown it enough to
a) test its penetration/signal and looking at that gully shot it did a great job.
b) I've not seen the camera shake but I had literally just finished it before I dropped it off so not flown it in anger.
There is a USB extension which means you DON'T have to take the frame apart, but I had not fitted that bit as my plan is to just notch out the frame to access the USB of the O3 unit directly. Pleased you enjoyed it. I found flying at about 13 degree camera angle in sport mode (wide) the props went away, acro never an issue. I built this specifically to carry a Hero 11 Mini, but have modded it to now just mount a naked gopro.

Nice footage and flying. Just purchased a Dji Avata recently and now I'm totally hooked into fpv. Practiced in the simulator for acro mode and have a Pavo20 on the way. I'm loving this shit.

Standard DJI setup on the 03 air unit.
Axisflying kit is not lighter its heavier than standard avata
The heavier your avata the better. Add gopro will increase its weight, but better for flying
Majestic footage. At first I thought it was shooting down the Grey Mare's Tail, but no, it just got better.
Can you do a close, in and out, look all over the Scot Monument? Would Comie Pool to coms mast on Blackford hill be tricky with regs. and such? Thanks.

I've been wanting to try the 3.5axis but I'm not a solderer. I fly with the 3 blade MAS props which definitely improve the stock experience but the yaw washout is very much still present.
We can complete the work for you should you wish to give it a bash!

The A V ata is super drone the footage is mazing, but Avata is absolutely no good for truly cinematic. Nice video love your honest review

Very few thousand pound ish tools are! For cinema work, we recommend crafts with heavier lifts for better cameras and speed.

What is about gyroflow ? Because of the wigeling footage do U use IT and does IT Work after the Upgrade as well ?
It was my build, I always run the footage through Gyroflow, I use a Gopro on top which gives better performance but I have not seen the micro vibrations that Jack spoke about.
How loud is te new kit ….what is the cost of new kit…..i dont see a link to answer these questions. At least tell me where I can buy the kit!!

Hello, do not worry about rates and things like that.
Use a simulator to master full manual mode first. Dji Virtual Flight is a good one and link to dji goggles.
If nervous, buy a basic internal manual drone to practice with first. Something like the betaFPV Cetus.

His pronunciation is AvaTAR. The correct is AvaTA. there is a system called Avatar.
