The reason why the 3.5" mod is slower is, because 1507 are pretty small for 3.5" quad blade props. Tri the new gemfan 3630 if they fit. Also maybe the the hq duct tri blade. 2005 to 2205 are better for 3.5" 4~5 blade props.

To be honest This is how the Avata should have came from the factory. We shouldnt have to be buying a Axis kit to make the Avata better. With that said, for the price dji are charging, and if you have the money, this is a must have upgrade for the Avata.
Yes it should have come good and without death roll from the box, it's fine a little bit of shake and fully understandable, but the death roll is unacceptable
I'm sure that one day I will acquire an Avata. I'll take your advice into account, because obviously I am not going to use it in angle at all X-D Thanks mate! Good day
Even as a viewer, I have a heart attack everytime it death-rolls, I know that feeling all too well. Truly the Achilles heel of the Avata. That said, the stock Avata is durable as hell, I'm not sure I'd trust the 3.5" frame to hold up as well in a crash. (Sidenote: Assigning the right-hand switch to arm/disarm helps to respond faster than the double-tap)
Stock Avata is pretty durable yes, the mod is probably more fragile, as it has more inertia as it weighs more, and standoffs and carbon are going to probably snap as I see it, maybe just need replacing standoffs most times! I use the same layout for the regular FPV, but always forget to double tap on Avata ahahahhaha
It's a fault in the PID tuning and the duct shape, happens also in barebones FPV drones, it can be corrected via software, shouldn't happen to a multi billion company product, or at least they should give us the possibility to PID tune

There will always be a company trying to improve what some one else built, sometimes they get lucky. This is not one of those times. Would Ibuy this axix mode for my Avata, absolutely not, the standard machine flies perfectly well. If I want to Acro I have 5' and 7" race drones.
I brought the Avata on my travels and it's incredibly versatile and gives peace of mind while flying, like people talk to me, sometimes I have to pause flying to check surroundings, it's amazing! But is kind of lacking in the acro department, once I started going further and diving things it started misbehaving and death rolling, so that's natural someone is looking for a solution, since DJI doesn't (they could sell a ton of units) The axisflying improves acro at the expense of level flying, so it's not a perfect solution I'm currently prototyping my solution that should fix all issues, stay tuned!
If it is capable of Acro Mode and if it's an FPV drone then it should be able to withstand any move a person legally does with their control sticks . And the DeathRoll is not the user's fault. It's a design flaw which they have ignored while building this. The First FPV drone did not have this problem. If this is not meant to fly like this they shouldn't have Acro Mode Enabled...

@Rimzler so, you'd send people down a shitty beginning. I hope people see this and avoid your advice. You know it's purely beginner. Past the motion controller, it's a bad move.
I disagree, there are millions of people with Avata already, they will be able to learn acro a little better with this kit and can also carry a GoPro for work, it's a pretty good platform for not a lot of money more! It's a good platform to learn acro as you can gradually remove the safeties, and with the DJI care you have insurance on crashes and losses! Also the gear is compatible with the o3 and air unit systems so switching to regular FPV is painless
I feel you! DJI stuff is kind of expensive, but also it is a good investment because it keeps good resell value and with DJI care you are a bit insured against crashes and flyaways, unlike usual FPV drones! Wish you the best!

I love the Avata as a travel drone and I would love to be able to do everything with it, it has a lot of peace of mind improvements over regular drones!
Personally I think your line of thinking is wrong. Every other fpv cinewhoop drone I've seen doesn't have this problem and yet they can all be "cinematic" considering they use the same dji 03 camera. A lot of people don't know about this problem either, avata was our first fpv drone and you better believe I was salty when I found out after the fact that dji dropped the ball. It's even worse because all they really need to do is come out with a different prop guard and it would help fix the problem a crap ton.
Hate to be a dudley downer, but how about flying the Cinewhoop like it was intended??? It's not an acro/race drone, yet you expect it to behave like one. That's on you👎
DJI is a multi billion company yet can't make a drone that is tuned good, that's just lazy, small FPV companies are able to make Cinewhoops that fly so much better and can do everything, if I have to chose a drone to carry with me, I want it to be versatile

I've seen some similar issues on cheap FPV drones, DJI being a premium company should really not have tuning issues
Yes DJI ... FULL CRAP... I can't believe you have 2 of them lol
