Hey man, thanks so much for this guide! Started a new bartending job a while ago, your series really helped prepare me for the basics! This and the copy of Difford's Guide I found behind our bar helped me be so prepared my manager said he barely needed to teach me anything, and I'm now so passionate about making cocktails that I've started doing it at home as well. Cheers!
Aww man thank you so much for telling me this!! This really made my day 😁 so happy to know I was able to help you out. Please let me know if there is anything other questions you have or anything else I can help you with! Cheers!! 🍻
@@Lui_Fern Thanks for asking! Just wanted to give you a status update - still going strong at the bar, we're putting my first made-from-scratch cocktail on the menu as a special next month, so I've definitely been learning a lot! Hope you're well ^^
¡Saludos Lui! Suggestion: If you would please hold the cover of the books closer to camera long enough to have it register to the eye of the viewer. Or, have an edit where the audience can see the name of the book and author on screen for a few seconds while you continue speaking. Gives us a chance to write it down or take a screenshot for future reference. Enjoying your work! Muito obrigado…🍹
That's a great idea Arturo, sorry that i didn't do that here. You're so right. In the future i promise to do that better. The books are linked in the description of the video
@@arunbartender2280 so the history of cocktails is very long and confusing and crazy. David Wondrich has two incredible books that detail the origins of cocktails in really good detail. Punch and Imbibe which are both excellent and I recommend it to anyone who likes cocktials. It also explains how cocktail culture died and was brought back to life and it explains why some cocktails are really bad. Both are must reads in my opinion for the history and understanding of the culture behind drinking
