I live around the corner from the shop. I'm actually here because I was pumping gas across the street from the shop this morning and wondered what happened. The shop looked like it had been closed for a few years with all the advertisement still on the building. The main gate is never open and the body shop sharing the property has their cars stacked up in front of the hotrod shop's bay doors. After seeing this video, I'm really not surprised it's closed and see that the parents own the property so it makes sense the state the building is in. Go figure
This guy has a hobby disguised as a business. You see it all the time. It's why bankruptcy laws and tax audits were made. I watch these shows and sometimes the phrase "doesn't deserve this" pops into my head and I think it applies here. But his parents just gained a lot of property equity with the renovation.

He still is behind on all bills probably go bankrupt yet. And sell equipment.. to bail out. He has 40 cars spread around LA . What's that storage cost ?
This might look nice and all, but it's kind of like being franchised, you now have to make X amount of money every month to pay back the investment that someone else (gmonkey) has put on the table. It's not a present it's an investment, and RR would only invest if he knows he's getting a good return. So better for most people to downsize, sell everything, start fresh without a loan, and get your ass into gear and get on with it or else you'll be paying the man forever. Business rules 101.

The BEFORE shop was great. Alternative "Business Saving" approach would have been target marketing, day to day actual work planning/execution, selling some of the liability-mobiles, and hiring an apprentice to help keep the tools in the boxes and the dust off the rust.
I would help this guy finance a bicycle.
I would love to see a follow up with him, if he’s even still in business.

So i came to this shop acouple years ago i have a 6.0 ls1 fuel injection motor in my car I needed the wiring redone i was so desperate because no one had any knowledge in rewiring the car this guy told me he can get it done for 5k me being desperate and wanting my car for summer I agreed i got my car towed to this shop left it for a week and he called me back and told me to come pick it up because he couldnt start my car i was so upset i waisted alot of my time and money to try and get him to do it so at the end he tells me to take my car back so unprofessional. I end up taking it to some guy i found on offerup can you believe that this guy rewired my whole car in 1 day for 1500 i paid ofcourse
So this is like bar rescue but for car shops. I can dig it.

I've been buying and selling for most of my working career (storage unts, estate sales, yardsales, flea markets and thrift stores) and still keep a fulltime job. People always ask me why can't you keep stuff, even if you got a great deal. I say NO everything must go. I do this to pay the bills. Let it go...

Big Question Is ; will he do enough work and make enough money to pay for the storage of all his old stuff that was in the building at the beginning of this video , and will he have any money to live on ?? All this show is some guy who is first in line . And the line is going to a show where they ask people "hey y'all, who needs some new shit because you pretty much fucked off your old shit??!!"
