Literally nobody buys a business off of the ability of someone to rush a job like 1000hp. If someone came to me and was like ill buy your solar biz if you finish this in under x amount of time, I wouldn't sell because they're obviously not on the same page as I am as a busines.
He's not really selling the shop, more like a investment deal with % going to the lender.
Dude,they're gonna be in debt forever and it's not that hard to get clientele and make a name for yourself, your work speaks for itself.
I’m only at the point in this video where he accepts the deal finally. I don’t think he realized all of what he was getting out of Richard. I think he was just thinking that he was only getting alone and some guidance from Richard. He just didn’t realize, he was getting his contacts, his social media, his whole network everything.

Feel for the guy at the end. Wanting him to get on a ladder or a lift with a fear of heights? That's messed up. A lot of people have an intense fear of something, big dogs, spiders, snakes, deep water, flying, heights, something. But to insist he get up there just to show his willingness doesn't prove anything except the person asking is an A hole.

Not only that but didn't they say it's a loan? Not a direct investment. So they can't even decide how to use the money that they need to make back.

you dont know what your talking about he take controle until loan is paid off then he s out and that money is actualy being spend to good use in good quality shop equipement and a clean place instead of their failing buisness as to why gas monkey is there in the first place
Or you could see it as they sold there dying shop for 250k worth of upgrades, mass advertising with the chance to buy it back at the original 250k while working in it and makeing a profit with new growth

Richard already setting deadlines and trying to be in charge. I personally would turn down his offer in fear of a guy that dosmt know much about working on cars to try and rush product and push deadlines and quality. no thanks. just look at what happen to all his former employees...
Thing is you can manipulate any dyno to post different #s just from changing some inputs about weather.

He was not holding the wastegate shut. You've obviously never seen a wastegate, you can't hold the plunger down. Plus those exhaust temps would burn the fuck out of your hand

Probably RR gets paid till investment and interest are pd. Then RR would likely get percentage of profit forever and retain some control over operations
