Love the old Cushman. My neighbor had a few of those in his yard. One was his haul around. He had a little mini junk yard and wrenched all day. It was perfect. He even had a little crane and winch on the back.
I see a lot of guys asking "where's Chase"...
I imagine his popularity with Richard's fan's might have been something that disturbed Richard...time for the Kid to go...bye Kid...maybe he joined Aaron Kaufman...

Hey Richard, the Pinto had a 351 in it and the brother raced it. The exhaust is in the back of the truck for the 351 and the three transmissions they left behind The big block is just sitting in there everything there to put the 351 back in it and drive it

Looks like about a 1963 cushman truckster. Made In Lincoln Nebraska. I have redone these and taken them to Barrett Jackson Scottsdale. They were used on airports farms mail delivery etc. fun to drive.
This was my uncles drag racer! His name was Leon, and he loved that Pinto with all his heart. He frequently raced this car at Sears Point in CA. Would love to see what you do!

In the 80's I worked for the parks and recreation in Lower Bucks County Pennsylvania, we drove a Cushman around the park to empty trash cans and what not. Man that thing was fun
Happened to that other mechanic they always had on here that tall skinny one did he quit open his own shop haven't seen them for a few videos

Pintos and Vegas got the USA though the fuel crisis. Gas was expensive and could only purchase like 5 gallon at a time. My mothers 460ci ford wagon took that much to start. Late 70s early 80s people put small blocks in these small American cars, anyone could drag race or just raise hell for cheep.The original 4 cylinders powered water pumps , sand vacuums. My sawmill is still powered by a 70s Chevy 4 cylinder. A win win situation.

We had four wheel Cushman Trucksters where I used to work. Three on the tree and fun as hell. They used to have Harley V Twins, but the company replaced them with lawn mower engines.

good old lj speed and machine shop out of napa ca i believe this car raced at sears point raceway also known as Sonoma raceway now days
8:50 you see there were three transmissions we didn't feel like picking them up and put them in the truck so we're going to talk you into spending money on a C4 transmission.... you get to help you pay for Aaron would have known exactly what those Transmissions were if they were compatible with the car and if you couldn't have used them he would have brought him back to use for something else

Richard buys and flips more cars than they ever built in the shop I bet . I remember hearing him say stuff like that several times over the first few years of Fast n Loud . He said that was how they paid for the bills , builds and kept everyone on staff paid .

The Cushman 3 wheeler is way more cool than the Pinto & I'm glad Phipps knew what it was, although I don't remember ever seeing them used to deliver mail. They don't go fast but you'll kill yourself in it if you don't know what you're doing. They tip over VERY VERY VERY easily.
And I'd build that Pinto as a driver not a damn drag car. I miss my 72 & 77 Pinto's.
