Victoria, your singing lessons should be mandatory for girls entering puberty, a time when shyness sets in for many, and their true voices are muffled by fear of being shamed. Singing is healing! It lets the air in! Many thanks for covering all the bases🎼🎹🎇
"Why can a baby cry for hours and hours and not get hoarse?" You nailed it. :D Your videos are so knowledgable and enjoyable! Thank you again, dear Madam!
Thank you, Victoria!! I once asked a friend who sings very well how he defines "singing" in one word, and he said: "singing is living". It has a lot to do with that saying of yours: "singing is an athletic activity". At first, we tend to think we're engaging enough support when we are NOT! So the more I become aware of my support, the better my singing gets, because there's less tension spreading throughout my body. The ring/ping is also crucial!! Thanks again!
@@Victoria-Victorious oh my god I've just reached a new vocal level with your EE siren you're right the other one is too powerful and uncontrolled!.. I love you
@@Victoria-Victorious yep! Also, how do ya use ur chest voice more instead of head voice when you belt high notes? When I go from low to high notes, it sounds disconnected from the lower notes cuz there’s not enough chest voice.
Victoria ,your explanations are so clear and helpful for me. I've been singing for years, and now I understand much better how I can improve my voice with your wonderful healthy vocal techniques. Thank you.
Dear Victoria! Your videos has changed my tone and sound so much! THANK YOU from the bottom of my larynx! Your explanations can be applied right away and its true magic!

@@Victoria-Victorious yeah I will. And let me tell you, besides that I like to sing mainly I'm interested in improving my voice because I'm a teacher and conference man. I use my voice as one of my main tools. Thanks again
Hi Victoria I absolutely love your videos! When doing these exercises especially the mee should I practice just one pitch or should I practise in a range? And if so, should I practice my entire range or just in the middle? (I am a soprano) ❤️
Hi Victoria! I’m not sure I understand the support…. So as the voice increases in range do we use more support or use the same support throughout the entire exercise? Thank you for sharing your brilliant knowledge!
It *generally* takes a bit more support for high notes. Make sure to watch the videos in this playlist: Breathing & Breath Support for Singing th-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCQDneLVxvJRkJp_Omj_vbp.html
A lot of the videos in my playlist on tone quality answer this. Better Tone Quality in Singing! th-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDDB0K_J9FKiiwSxcV65xjxh.html. I will have tons of exercises for different tonal colors in my upcoming audio program. I will announce when it is released.
Thanks for another great video, Victoria! I'm having trouble understanding the crescendo/diminuendo though. When I do it I feel myself gradually engaging more with my abdomen and back musles, so when I'm on my loudedest I feel I'm using a lot of force on these support muscles. Is that the way to do it? Also on the diminuendos after a crescendo my voice usually breaks, even though I still am applying force on the support muscles, not letting my ribcage colapse. This makes me feel I don't understand support correctly (even after watching your videos on it). Is it a matter of practice and understanding in the body the relationship between the support muscles and volume or am I approaching it wrong?
We never want to “use a lot of force” when singing louder, but we do want firmer support. And perhaps on your decrescendo, you are becoming too loose and floppy. Something is off with the balance. Make sure to watch all of my videos in my Breathing and Breath Support playlist, especially where I show how to apply it to singing.
