    I like your demonstration of different breathy sounds in different parts of singing. It helps a singer recognize why he or she might not like the sounds coming out. Sometimes it is perhaps not obvious what the problem is and you have to know what the problem is to know where to look for a solution. Amazing how you can sort of individualize lessons to so many people all at once.

      Thank you. Yes, a lot of singers don't recognize when their singing is breathy. They just know it sounds weak.

    Yes. Thanks for this. I was breathy in the head voice. I was getting better with lower notes in the upper register but as I ascend, I go breathy. Now I feel how I was losing "closure" as I ascend. Makes me really lightheaded.

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your singing is strained and throaty, it will FEEL and SOUND tight.

    • @Karmic_art
      @Karmic_art ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Victoria-Victorious thanks you because I wasn’t sure when I first started I was so throaty but it created a decent sound, but now that I’m freed up it still has that edge to it just feels better and sounds powerful and better. So I was just a little scared that I was still pushing from my throat and just not feeling it!

    What happens with me is when I go to sing song which involves a lot of head voice high pitch ...I end up sounding like I have a very sweet voice and that power the song has doesn't seem to be present when I try to sing that particular song ...say for example wrecking ball of Miley Cyrus- so when I sing the chorus of that song I end up sounding sweet even when that song does not need a sweet tone and instead needs powerful strong type of tone .....wht can I do to cultivate that ??? Or what mistake am I doing ??

      Lip trills and humming are quiet exercises. See my playlist: Beginner Singing Lessons - FOLLOW THESE VIDEOS! th-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDBD7MGUWCSdC4yhLzxVsEdW.html. Also, it is important to find a place where you can sing freely. Maybe find a place outside like in a park?

    My problem is that I have a "breathy voice" even when I talk, I can scream the loudest I can there's a "layer" of air that won't go away. I've been told by someone who can sing and teach singing that there wasn't a problem with my breath support or anything. In this video, I can't even do the "ay" exercice. It's like vocal fry : I've been trying for weeks and weeks to find my "vocal fry voice", because apparently it can help, and I can't do it (while my family who has no experience in singing can access their vocal fry in two seconds)
    Can someone help I am losing hope right now

    • @Victoria-Victorious
      @Victoria-Victorious  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are breathy, I would start with humming exercises, then apply to speech, then to singing (if clear).

      Watch the videos in my Beginner Playlist. They include lots of humming and then humming to a vowel.

      @@Victoria-VictoriousI love this advice. My vocal teacher when I was young was obsessed with the hum approach- not sure if you teach it the same way, but guessing that you do as your teaching is so similar. She emphasized a kind of head centered hum. Your teaching brings back such nice memories for me.
      Off topic but even though I'm not a fashionista I also love your clothes and jewelry. Very rare for me to like someone's style so much.

    • @Victoria-Victorious
