Been watching a series with Magehammer's Game Table Using This Deck and Castles & Crusades can believe I missed this video before. Deck seems like a great product for solo play.

Yes Axeburn’s Deck of Many Dungeons is not just a random dungeon creator, but it is also a game system and adventure creator as well.

This looks great. I ordered both the base and supplement deck and I look forward to using it for solo and smaller games with my wife and son. I'm still trying to pick my go-to system. Right now I'm bouncing between White Box FMAG here, Heroes&Monsters, and Hero's Journey. Just want to find that perfect rules-light system....decisions, decisions. Great video. Thanks again!!!

Check out Four Against Darkness for solo or rules light, especially for teaching young kids to play an RPG.

@@DM_Bluddworth I do have 4AD and I enjoy but I guess I want a little more crunch. Check out Heroes & Monsters. It's a nice small step up from 4AD as far as game and character mechanics. But I do love 4AD for the dungeon exploring element for sure.

Ok, I picked up the PDF of Heroes & Monsters. I will give it a read and maybe run something with it next week.

@@DM_Bluddworth It's a great little OSR based off the Black Hack system. It's quite good. I really look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. The author also has on drivethrurpg a wonderful character sheet for the game too. Cheers!

Number of monsters in an encounter has always been something that has confused me. You mentioned in the video of doing the same number and level of monsters as the heroes and sometimes one extra for low levels. Is this the method you always use? I like it because I never know how many of a monster I should use in any given encounter.

Yes, if there is no set rule then I go with Player Party # +1 for equal or lower level mobs.

So where can you get Axebane's Deck of Dungeons? I don't see that covered anywhere. The links below the video don't seem to help much either.

Nevermind, I found someone else's video that had the info without having to go geocache-ing for it.
