    Some pro tips - for items over $500 - $700 consider meeting outside your local police station.
    Don't tell them your exact address until you know for sure they are able to come - you dont want them to show up when you're not there since they could be annoyed with you or they could rob you. Also, you can blow off the deal if you're not at home and don't feel like heading back if they don't know where you live.

    Is it still available, because there are so many people won’t take down there ad when it sells, and there are several who never even respond at all. Ads should expire after a amount of time.

    This is the 3rd video I have watch about some tips on selling on marketplace. And you made the same condescending comment about people sending the "Is this still available?" message.
    It is just a generalized opening question to contact the seller with. If an item hasn't been taken down, that does not mean it is completely available. There are many times a seller is dealing with multiple potential buyers. So by asking if the item is still available, the seller can let the interest person know if it is, or if there is others interested or even if the item is pending.
    If an item is pending or people are interested, a buyer isn't going to know unless they ask.

      It’s preferred that you begin with an offer or a relevant question.

      There's also a "pending" option for your items that may be in negotiations

    Haggling is an issue tbh, but when you buy via marketplace too it can cancel out. Meeting outside police stations limits scams from my experience.

      Scammers are everywhere. The reason the caveman survived is because at some point he realized he was gonna have to leave the cave and face that Sabertooth tiger. If you want tell me about sellers getting scammed, then you also have to explain the people who spent yrs being successful.

    For me people seem stingy and refuse the shipping option when every other site enforces shipping worldwide. I quit selling because of that and now with inflation I don’t blame them anymore.

    Thanks for the tips! I'm intrigued about FB but have hesitated because I am so used to ebay. I enjoy ebay because I can set it and forget it. One thought I've struggled with is whether to list the same items on both FB and ebay.. Do you list items on more than one platform at a time?

    Thank you for the video! I appreciate your willingness to share your experiences & knowledge. I am new to this, and have been getting discouraged b/c I don't get many offers, thought I am regularly staying over 1,400 views/week. I am considering adding the option to ship, though I have some misgivings about doing so.

    Are there still tag words in Facebook marketplace if so a video walk through perhaps of how you list an item on Facebook marketplace would be awesome just so I can see how to implement these tag words this used to be commonplace I feel like since there's been a revision on Facebook market place I'm not sure how to go about doing that

    Is it a red flag if the person offering to buy your stuff has a blank profile?
    And if they ask for your phone number?

    • @BrickBucks
      @BrickBucks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I would be a bit hesitant with blank profiles. If it seems weird, walk away

    • @JuliusTurner-hm6ff
      @JuliusTurner-hm6ff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nah i sold to tons of people with no profile. You'd be surprised how many people make a quick account just to buy an item, then delete their account. Not everyone wants to be on fb and what they say is way more important to look out for than the profile pic.

    The question I have is I thought FB didn't pay you until the customer received the item is this not true? Do I have to pay the supplier w my own money before receiving payment from marketplace?

    • @JuliusTurner-hm6ff
      @JuliusTurner-hm6ff 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

  • @cosmo9362

    Do you use a separate Facebook account to sell on Marketplace? I like keeping my identity/information hidden from potential buyers until I know they’re serious buyers, not scammers or something worse. On Craigslist the initial emails are anonymous and once trust is established more personal information can be exchanged. I also prefer not to have to use a Facebook account to sell on the Marketplace, should be a separate app.
    Thanks

    • @BrickBucks
      @BrickBucks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't, but I understand why people would do that and I think it could be a good approach but only if you take the time to add some content to the new account to make it look legit. Otherwise you might lose potential buyers because they will check out your profile and see nothing there. And for building long business relationships with people too it could be a problem if you use fake pictures and then they feel like YOU'RE the scammer 😂

    • @cosmo9362
      @cosmo9362 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BrickBucks Thanks, good point.
      I just wouldn’t want to mix a personal and business Facebook account. I would just make a new one for selling, promoting and providing LEGO content.
      Thanks again
