Owning a Wagoneer and having a Tahoe rental for 3 days at the same time, Wagoneer wins hands down in comfort. LOVE the V8 noise, but the Wagoneer wins in suspension (if you get series 3, the air suspension is amazing), road noise, seat comfort and passenger comfort. My kids did not like the 3rd row in the Tahoe... Seat was too low, felt like they were in a cave with the side windows so far back and the seats were almost straight up and down... Jeep is the big winner for us hands down!
Have both, personal, own a Wagoneer, work, the Tahoe. I would NEVER waste my personal money on a Tahoe. All builders have quality issues, but the Tahoe is mechanical and electrical, where the Wagoneer had a update for its glitchy infotainment center and that was it. Tahoe eats brakes for lunch (trust me I don't drive it hard at all), dropped the #6 lifter (common for the 5.3) AC replaced twice, washer fluid pump replaced, driver side head light adjuster broke all on its own without ever being touched. Keyless entry works when it wants. You might be thinking it's just mine, Nope all of my coworkers who have the same Tahoe, 2021 to 2023 have all had the same issues. Then you check the forums, all issues are common-ish . Average mileage is 60,000 give or take 5k to 10k. Before we switched to tow haul mode only in the Tahoe's the fuel economy was better then the Wagoneer, but the cylinder deactivation is what causes the lifters to fail so no more eco friendly driving.
Two big asSUVs. Nice but more room and money than I need or want to spend. If I had to choose it would be the Wagoneer. Looks good and gets a little better fuel economy. Good video. Thanks.
I’ve had 6 straight 6s over the years. All of them were manual transmission vehicles. I would pick the Wagoneer for the sweet engine if I was to choose between the two.
That’s true, but I have seen them but understand that only a tiny portion of people ever tow so they have to put on the lot what sells and that HD tow package is not cheap. I live in North Carolina and I don’t want four-wheel-drive. It adds over $2000 $3000 to the price. I’m never gonna use it down here and you lose some miles per gallon.
drove the wagoneer the inline I-6 was ok , it drives like my old 1988 grand wagoner with its short wheel base , the magic is there ,think they need a 2 row version ,for us who have no need ,want or will ever have a use for a 3rd row , I like cargo space and towing but nothing like a v8
I like the classiness of the Jeep better. Much more refined looking vehicle. With that said, I lean toward the Tahoe because they have been reliable in the past and I assume they're reliable today. Probably can't go wrong with either though if you're in the market for a vehicle of this size.
I have the 2022 Tahoe for 2 years and it’s very cheap in interior quality, media console is average and the transmission is going to crap from the button gear shifting is very laggy, so disappointing I saw the new Tahoe has changed the gear shifting back to the by the steering wheel but when my lease is up for the savings I’ll give the Wagoner a shot
I do love the Amber turn signals/flashers of the Tahoe…but LED’s of JW are better. I think that GM is missing the boat with not coming in with a twin turbo Six engine…. Performance wise and having had both Tahoe and JW…..hands down the Hurricane six the winner. Fuel economy very close but I feel that the JW makes way better use of the HP and Torque. Both vehicles are about equal for ride, noise reduction. I say the centerline thrust of the Hurricane makes a difference. I can honestly compare CT 5.3&6.2 and JW/JGW SO/HO…..I can even compare the Expedition with the 3.5 EB V6…only JW engine I haven’t tested was the 5.7&6.4 HEMI….. but I have the 5.7 in my Charger Daytona…… you get the JW/GW with either Hurricane six and you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Exterior styling is very bland on Wagoneer compared to the Tahoe. I prefer the Wagoneer interior. Tahoe still wins although my choice of a big suv is the Sequoia
Why not compare the Wagoneer with the 392 V-8 at $110,000.00 - you used the Tahoe with the 6.2L V-8. Not quite apples to apples in line 6 to a 6.2L. The Wagoneer is not even in the same zip code as the Tahoe.
They don't offer the V8 Wagoneer anymore. Power is much better in the twin turbo 6 than either of the Chevy V8 offerings, so you're right, not the same.
Why didn’t you compare the Tahoe High Country to the Wagoneer? That would be the fair comparison. Anyway, the Tahoe High Country is the hands down winner. °|||||° reliability is horrible!
Found this: "2024 Grand Wagoneer - The Ultimate Premium SUV Experience. With the Hurricane Twin-Turbo 510 Engine. Requires premium fuel only." Which makes the increase in milage not such a big deal.
Full size SUVs have become extremely expensive, but I’ll take the Tahoe any day vs the Wagoneer. The NA V8 will last forever compared to a yet proven twin turbo V6 from Jeep of all companies.
@@nate.adv282 but you, and GM for that matter, know what those issues are. The Hurricane engine has, what, 2 years on the market now? We are yet to see how that engine truly behaves...
@vlbinladen3019 No they aren't. FCA is horrible. Chevy is meh... the Expedition is far superior. It's just fact. Nobody cares about your brandist opinion.
I like the exterior of the Tahoe but I like interior of the jeep
I agree unless you get the Carbide Edition Wagoneer (which I purchased) and I have no regrets.
Agreed
Buy Cadillac
@@PhillyFan303 any reliability issues?
@@The_Prince770 no issue so far, I only have 2300 miles on it. We will see…

I like the Tahoe better since you can get it's with a naturally aspirated V8.
Yes, me, too!
Amen!

GM needs to redesign the back window for the rear passengers to be able to look out and have a view.

Great review Ben! Would have been nice to see a Carbide with 22s compared to the Tahoe. Appearance and options would have been more similar.

The 2025 refresh Tahoe has the upgraded dash. If I was in the market I would wait for that!
Taking the Wagoneer all day everyday.
You’ll be sorry. Every owned a °|||||°? I have a Grand Cherokee I’ll sell you cheap.

The powetrains in the Wagoneer is really good.

both need to order the tow package to get a 4wd low range , very few if any dealers ever order the HD tow package

Hands down, the Wagoneer! My boss bought a 2024 Grand Wagoneer Serie 3, very expensive but puts his Bentley Continental to shame on the inside.
Hands down the Tahoe. Are you kidding me? It's not even a comparison
Great video!
how about a Outback Wilderness v an Audi Allroad comparison....

The rear seat folds flat, so you could always just leave the seat down.

The new Cherokee looks nice , I’m interested to see if that engine is a hit or miss, love the Tahoe.

I got a Tahoe
These two aren’t comparable. Probably should have picked a series III Wagoneer with the 22 inch wheels. Or a Tahoe with 20s. Something more comparable
These are definitely comparable.
Not all v8 yeild poor mileage example corvette
consider weight of a corvette vs. a Tahoe. 😐
Can you do bmw x6 vs Mercedes gle 53

GM v8 all day, everyday. I purchased the Tahoe. Nice review 👍🏻👍🏻
Tahoe so much more aesthetically pleasing. Also, v8.
I like the Tahoe. Also trust the quality more.
I have one for 2 years now horrible quality interior literally falling apart
this should have been compared with a carbide...... you know better than to compare an apple and an orange.
Chevy Tahoe
Both suv looks nice like the Both
Compare a normal Tahoe not the rst. Not a fair comparison imo
I love love my Wagoneer !!
Tahoe cause the v8 and looks better
Tahoe all day
Exterior styling is very bland on Wagoneer compared to the Tahoe. I prefer the Wagoneer interior. Tahoe still wins although my choice of a big suv is the Sequoia
The Sequoia is great, but the interior is much smaller and fit and finish inside is lower quality as well.
