I mix the two with my Curly Proverbs fenugreek oil recipe oil and wear protective styles for 3-4 weeks. I don’t reapply every 5 days however I do spritz my scalp with my fenugreek spritz and oil my scalp weekly. I’ve been doing this since December and my hair is so thick and it has retained length. Ahh I forgot about the smell! Well...😅After this initial application, I can say that the powder smells like a mixture of an herbal aroma and smoke. Yes, charcoal smoke? Maybe because they roast the herbs 🤷🏽♀️. I notice when I cook it, I do not get the smoke smell. Its more like a strong herbal tea if you cook it for 30 to 45 minutes on low heat. I cooked it way too long in my Chebe butter video, which is why it smelt more assertive. Also, once I mixed it with my DIY Chebe Creme, it smelt like roses because of the essential oil I used 😊🌹

I mix my chebe in deep conditioner. .current favorite for this is Hollywood Beauty Carrot Cholesterol. I leave in for 1 - 4 hours, then rinse, regular conditioner, leave-in, then let dry and on to styling.

You're not trying to straighten your scalp, you're trying to straighten your hair, that's why perms are not put on the scalp. Perms are chemicals, they cause chemical burns if they touch skin (which includes your scalp). That's why people use gloves.

Indy Dee that’s what i did i made a chebe butter and followed the exact steps in yaya’s video. if you infuse it with oils and strain the chebe and then add the shea butter it won’t be any residue. i know there’s still the same benefits bc the butter still has the chebe smell and the color is darker than regular shea butter
@@leospicegirl It shouldn't be dry. Also when you apply the product I found sitting under a dryer and letting my hair dry keeps the product off my pillow. I do wrap my hair with a silk scarf and and two bonnets this makes a huge difference. I will send you my recipe for my Chebe butter when I find it. It works well for me. If Im not mistaken they do a scalp cleansing, but you’re right, they don’t focus on clarifying their strands. Also there is another step: after you braid, apply more dry powder to the braid.

As a person with an unforgivable scalp ( the itch from hell will break loose if styling products or oils get in contact with it), I'll say YES, even if I prefer the infused hair butter version applied well away from the roots.
peridotta Yes, yes. I have the same scalp irritation. It is very, very sensitive. So, avoiding the scalp was a plus for me. I actually really agree with the applying it halfway or just on the ends suggestion now. 🙏🏽🙌🏽
nokiiee if you want to do it like they do, then you don’t wash it out. But, you are supposed to wet your hair and either refresh or wash it out every 4 days
If you have ear length hair I would recommend braiding your hair when applying chebe. If you have hair shorter than ear length, I would wait for the hair to grow out so that you don't lose hair. I hope I helped.
Don't put the Chebe so close to your scalp people. If you have short hair. Let it grow long enough before you use Chebe. Look at how the chadian people use it. They only put in on the bottom half of the hair.

I think that since you put the powder in the cream, you didn’t have to add the powder separately as I believe you will get the same results regardless
Does it eventually dry? Meaning can i put this hair under a headwrap and go to work? 😂cause i cant be walking around with visible powder in my head. 😂

Don't put the Chebe so close to your scalp people. If you have short hair. Let it grow long enough before you use Chebe. Look at how the chadian people use it. They only put in on the bottom half of the hair.
Thank you for the information. So any oil that claims it has chebe in it, maybe doesn’t because it would not grow your hair or could damage your scalp.
