1:06 I think this is a statue made by Sophie Prestigiacomo. She made a bunch of statues like this made from organic material, so they could rot and blend in with the swamps they’re in. Terrifying, yet beautiful.
2:39 That statue was actually designed like that, rather than being "taken over" by bees. It's by Pierre Huyghe, and it's called Exomind (Deep Water) if you want to look into it more! It was created specifically with the beehive, which is of Buckfast bees, so that the bees can continue to build on and expand their hive as they work to pollinate the flora in the garden that the statue is set up in. I think it's a really, REALLY cool piece.
