Awesome video. Lighting is a very essential consideration in any interior design. It enhances the aesthetic appeal and creates the great ambiance of a space. I have seen experts like Stiely Design who always value to light during the design process. Therefore light is the medium that makes visual perception possible.
I love your home, probably more so than your other video's. I would love you to do a video on 1) romantic homes and 2) tasteful bohemian homes. I am Italian but also living in Spain( Costa del sol, Andalusia)and I have furnished our amazing home with everything upcyled with a lot of colour. Hot countries can take colour. I love the informal, slightly wacky look. It's so comfortable and un pretentious. Nothing is precious. Some/ most of the homes in your video's I feel are too staged. Beautiful of course, but devoid of sentiment. Everywhere I look in my home tells a story. The huge valise and handbags that belonged to my grandparents when they emigrated. Still with the sticker of their address on it. Things that people have given me over the years. Everywhere I have wonderful antique vignettes which I constantly move around, therefore creating scene's of interest and meaning. I repeat, whilst you create beautiful show houses( obviously for the very wealthy) I would never wish to live like that, and believe me, it's not because I cannot afford it. When you can buy an old piece of furniture and paint it yourself, distressing it to your taste, the pleasure and satisfaction you get every time you look at it beats anything that money can buy. So please please show us some video's of simple unadorned creativity.....I just know that you you would be great at it !!!
Oddly my mom chooses similar fake vintage light fixtures and deco elements as shown here. I don‘t get how she doesn’t mind that its all fake. Its as fake as the Disneyworld castle. It‘s like a person wearing a costume, rather than their genuine cloth - its too manufactured, too planned. It‘s all products waiting for the trash until the next season. The amount of waste all of this decor creates its mind boggling. Interior design should not follow fashion trends or be in need to be changed out every few years. Timeless, original pieces, few of them, carefully assembled is the way to go for me - also creates less trash.
I guess that’s why she makes the big bucks and makes tv appearances....because she it obviously doesn’t bother others. Are you as successful? Just curious.
With all due rsspect to your taste and the part of the world you live in as well as home size I dont personally connect to most of the lamps and it didnt help me personally. But hey everyonr should hqve what they like
Beautiful!!!!!!
Anne Marie, you have an incredible style, and your home is amazing!

Thank you for all the good ideas.
Love your home design and colors very warm and inviting.
Love your designs
i always look for lamps that use 3 way bulbs. that way you can put it on the first switch for cozy mood lighting & the 3rd switch for reading, etc..
I would like to see the same video from Anarie Barton ten years later.

Too much ceiling cluttering lights: not a fan here
Wow, I know that housekeeper has got her hands full.
Lighting does matter. In one's home and in one's youtube videos. ;)
We underestimate the power of our surroundings
Her electric bill must be insane
