This is my favorite song on the album. I just lost my dad this year and was/am struggling with questions about life after death and trying to hold on for dear life to the hope that Heaven is real and I’ll see him again. This song was hard to get though at first but now it is so comforting.
I lost my mom suddenly after a procedure 7/20/18 after being a coma for 7 days and awake for 36hrs before I fulfilled her wishes to terminate artificial forms of survival at the age of 29, This song is on REPEAT. Because the lead at the end and the lyrics SAY EXACTLY WHAT I FEEL WORD FOR WORD. Thank you for placing this on your album. Knowing the faith I had and have now was because of her. She was only 59 and no problems the when we went in. And her heart stops suddenly at the end of the procedure. I’m also a critical care nurse. It was the most agonizing, humbling, lonely, scary, life altering, HONOR to care for my mom as I did. My faith was all I had. This weekend is the anniversary, and everything I couldn’t feel because it was so quick to even process what was happening. It’s hard to care for patients who survive the same thing my mom didn’t. Lots of unanswered questions, lots of tears, anger, remorse. But, God has been there! Idk who lead at the end.... but that’s me! Cannot wait to see you Sunday in Nashville!
This resonates with me. My dad passed away in 2019 after a procedure and he was in a coma for two months. Hardest two months of my life. I know heaven is real...But that doesn't change the fact that pain is real. Sending love to everyone who has navigated life after loss. My little cousin was killed on August 25, 2007 at the age of 15 (just weeks shy of his 16th birthday) while sitting on his steps at about 2 in the morning. Her wasn't in a gang or about that street life. He was a good kid. My heart still hurts till this day cause that was a life taken too soon. I still struggle with the why of it. But then I remember that God had other plans. I'll say his name forever R.I.P. BRANDON SUTTLES. you will always be loved.

We hold on to this belief , to this faith, that we have an eternal dwelling, that we’ll live in the forever joy, forever blissful state. This belief we sometimes use to keep us going. That gets us through life. Knowing there is greater on the other side. Such a deep deep song, something we as believers all hope internally : please let this be real, don’t let my faith be in vain.

It's all about perception and understanding of God. "Good people" are born sinners and aren't exempt from pain and physical death. The best of God's servants suffered the most. But I think even for the Christian that knows all of this it's still hard for us to accept it. I think we have to have a better view of heaven in order to be happy when our loved ones (the ones we presume to be saved) die. If we truly see heaven as being the best thing in life, sure we'll mourn, but we'll celebrate their death, too.
Follow the progression of the song...death hits humanity hard. It goes from real, to true, to mine...and the hook my life is sealed till the day the clouds roll away ...powerful statement and Biblical. This is an introspective song, and very powerful!
