  • Exposing packaged liquids, fruits and vegetables to an electrical field for just minutes may eliminate all traces of foodborne pathogens on those foods, according to a Purdue University study. Kevin Keener, a professor of food science, is looking for new methods to kill harmful bacteria such as E.coli and Salmonella that contaminate foods, causing serious illnesses and deaths. His method generates a plasma from the gas inside the food package using electricity. This process creates a wide variety of bacteria killing molecules including ozone, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen peroxide, and many others. These bacteria-killing molecules only exist for a few hours and then revert back to the original gas leaving a bacteria free product. His experiments show that bacteria on these surfaces were eliminated with 20 seconds of treatment and 24 hours of exposure to the gases it creates.

Huge potential of this technology. Specially in reducing the post harvest losses.

At 0:31 "but it will allow transport of movement of voltage". Whoa there.

There is some real possibility that this system can be made to work.
The method that is being used in this video is using the same principles that are being used today in Ozone Corona generators used to make ozone gas, look them up. They are used for odor elimination of air and also by adding ozone to water bacteria are killed.
The principle uses a dielectric (insulating material) between two high voltage plates. The insulator is not perfect and allows corona arcs to puncture and pass through, the air becomes energized , the oxygen takes on energy and produces Ozone = O3. In this video the insulator is the plastic bag. Question is, .. after being punctured by these very fine arcs is the bag still able to maintain its seal and prevent air leaking in or out ? The Idea is not BS.

the di electric medium won't let current move but the voltage does ? How's that possible ? What does he mean by voltage there?!

Put electrodes on outside of aircraft, turn on, ionize air around aircraft, cold plasma is radar absorbent and across multiple radar frequencies = stealth

You could always try to get in touch with the faculty member in the video. His profile page is here: ag.purdue.edu/foodsci/Pages/Profile.aspx?strAlias=kkeener

it can be done in several ways, employing thermal or cold plasma, hydrocarbon bonds breaks and by injecting hydrogen one can saturate chains therefor you will have lighter hydrocarbons
