the ANC airpods 4 are great, tried them in a very very busy and loud apple store and while they did not silence the noise of the crowd, it brought it all down remarkably and created a ‘calm’ environment, where it was still possible to listen to music or a podcast, it was quite spectacular. I’ve been using the Beats Studio pro for about a year now and I highly recommend them. They have good ANC, good transparency, 40 hour battery and to me they are really comfortable. I mainly use them in the gym for about an hour at a time and never feel discomfort. Also they can be found regularly for about $180 on sale.
Tested my Airpods 4 with ANC at the Rams game yesterday. I own the Airpods Pro 2 but when I'm in a crowd or the grocery store...I prefer no sealed tips. Walking from my car to the stadium and back to my car music and podcasts sounded great. The ANC works in good certain situations and Transparency Mode works great. The mics for calls are great too. I had low expectations for these but with personalized spatial audio...they have good bass and get loud. Only negative is the battery life won't last on a long flight or through a work day
Honestly I thought more people would like the silicone tips compared to the plastic tips, but I've seen a lot of people call it uncomfortable. Not bad, just something I've noticed
In 2018 I started using Airpods 1st gen upgrading from the wired earpods and honestly both were super comfortable. In 2020 I upgraded to the airpods pro 1st gen, even with the Small variant of the silicone ear tips they didn't stay in my ear naturally, constantly had to adjust them in my ears. Just now 4 years later of using the airpods pro, I got the Extra Small (XS) silicone ear tips from a friend who has airpods pro 2gen and the extra small ear tips are the closest to a comfortable size for my ears canals, they simply fall out less frequently out of my ears. However, this doesn't fix the fundamental issue that if I talk on the phone with the pros the pressure created inside my head from the silicone ear tips is to put it simply- unpleasant. When it comes time to upgrade I will definitely Not be buying the pros again. Upgrading to the airpods 4 with ANC or airpods 5 (if they are released by the time my pair of headphones is unusable) will be the way to go. I initially thought I could get used to the tips but 4 years after I bought the airpods pro 1st gen, I couldn't help but think that at the time the 2nd gen airpods would have been the better buy.
I am still rocking the AirPods 2. those I believe were the best shape. so simple and is the most universal for every ear. there are the only ones that fit me.
I have had every generation of Airpods and Airpods Pro. Upon my review of all I’ve come to the following conclusion. Airpods 1&2 - fit like a glove and loved them. Airpods 3 - awful sizing the size of pod was too big for my small ears. Airpods 4 - pod redesigned and fit in the ear well again and also sound great now too. Airpods Pro 1 - Didnt fit my small ears hence why we get to Airpods Pro 2 - which finally fit well using the XS tips. So now I use AirPods Pro for commutes / plane travel. And Airpods 4 (non anc) for everyday use at home.
I’m with you on the hard tips. I would love to go with a set of pros but once I start sweating while working out, the seal breaks and I have to constantly push them back in my ears. I can’t wait to pick up a set of theses new hard tip AirPods with ANC!
I fly internationally most of the time, with flight time ranging from 6-14hrs. I do use my airpods for flights but only for an hour or two as I tend to read books to kill time. But when it's long term listening, I use a pair of wired Bose Soundsport as it's extremely comfortable and I can just leave in my ears the entire time and still produces great audio quality given how old it is. It also helps that i can use it to connect to the flight entertainment so if i want to watch something, easily doable.
I 100% understand the cons you’re afraid of, but simply put, these are the FIRST open back ANC earbuds that actually work. Also I’m not sure about the Audio bleed. I had my friend try them and at 100% volume I couldn’t hear anything.
Just got a pair of ANC 4s and I had no idea what to expect when it said ANC I just wanted a MagSafe charging case I felt like I was going crazy it’s such a strange and cool feature
It’s most likely because of gunk on the connectors. Get a q tip and dig around in there, it’ll most likely fix it. It has for me whenever the charging issue happens.
My dad actually just bought a new pair of beats over ear and he loves them. I tried them once and they weren’t to bad, AirPods Pro worked well for me. Enjoyed the video
My Air Pods Pro (daily usage) lasted 3 years. So I bought another pair in 2023. My Bose QC25 (daily usage) I bought in 2015 are still going strong. For the cost & comfort I would recommend the over the ear headphones.
For over ear headphones, I have gotten 5 years out of a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4s, and have very little complaints. outside of slight noise leakage when It's pIaying really loud (as expected), I one hundred percent recommend. I've worn them on 6+ hour flights with little to no issues as well.
I really like my AirPods Pro 2, with type c, and recently picked up a paid of the Sony XM4s. I wanted AirPods Max, but I don’t like that they haven’t really changed anything about them over the first gen, beyond just adding type c. I love my XM4s though, they pair easily with my phone and iPad, and can connect to multiple devices at the same time. Fantastic anc, great battery life, comfy, and foldable; which is one of my favorite features.
I absolutely love my pro 2s. I have both gen 1 pro 2 and usbc gen 2. I use my old ones on the pc and the news my daily drivers. I absolutely love them. I’m so glad you get to feel the joy now! Pro tip GET THE APPLE INSURANCE. It’s inexpensive and they may go bad naturally. Plus it lasts two years. I’m on my third replacements and it cost nothing to get brand new ones if for example, the anc or transparency modes decides to die on one ear. They’ll replace both. Cheers!!

The battery life on the ANC version has me debating on sticking with my 3rd gen AirPods. I have the AirPods Pro 2 non USB-C and the OG AirPods Max. I’m glad I ran into your video. I may just get the cheaper version 4’s instead of the ANC ones
I have Senheizer Momentum TWS 4 and they work amazing, they are kind of large but they have noise cancellation and transparency mode, but they do have a great battery life so I’m very happy with them overall

I got them. The battery life is abysmal, but what annoys me more is that they don’t have volume control. Was aware of both, thought I could live with it, but find that it really does very negatively impact their usefulness.
Although I have the Pro 2, I got the AirPods 4. The only issue I got is the fit, my left ear fits perfectly fine while the right ear is loose in my ear. It’s the total opposite for the Pro 2, left is loose so I had to get third party tips for a larger size while the right fits perfectly fine.
For me I have headphones n earbuds for different occasions. I use my wired headphones and AirPods Max at home n earbuds outside. I learn not to invest a lot on earbuds so I got beat studio buds on sales. Earbuds were not made to last very long. Having said that if anyone want to buy AirPods Max , I would highly recommend buying Apple care plus. I did have problems with them that cause major damage n it died on me without any kind of accident. Apple refused to fix them for me because they found some moist that caused my APM to die even there are no sign of water or drop accidents. I did escalate my case to Apple support. After all the hassles n time spent , I luckily talked with an Apple support manager and he saw my case ( with photo n details that they use internally) and ordered to fix them for me without charging me (about half the price of APM retail in my country). APM is my favorite wireless headphones but the problem is there as you said. Buy the Apple care plus as the issue with condensation n moist build up aren’t cover with standard warranty ( my APM died after 6 months of use only at home with no scratches or sign of damages).
5-10 years is a huge stretch for any wireless headphones my guy regardless of brand. AirPod max are definitely the best though I bought several headphones in 2020 along with the APM and for me APM were the best sounding most comfortable of the bunch. 4 years in they still are excellent I commute to NY from FL 16 hours a month in a jet and traveling all over the east coast during the month and APM are always my go to. I just got the AP4 to test against my APP 2 gen. I too suffer from the same problem of having to adjust the AirPod pros a lot while talking or eating or walking
On my AirPods Pro 1, I cut the flanges from the silicon tips, as even the smallest tips or Comply foam ear tips would be too big. This may be a good option
Marshall Monitor II ANC are over-ears with good sound quality. The problem though is that it is just regular bluetooth without the pairing features that Apple and Beats have.
Did they do away with the rubber tip concept altogether? The molded plastic version have NEVER stayed in my ears. I bought the ones with the rubber tips and STILL had issues, but replaced them with foam and they work wonderfully.
I’m pretty happy with the ANC of the AP4 vs the Pro2. Pro2 is still better, but AP4 is still very good. I have been thinking about getting an alternate to the Pros since I am also mildly annoyed by the silicon tips- they tips make my ears sweat and itch, plus if I am chewing or talking, the pros work their way out. Also, quickly popping a pro AirPod in was annoying since they don’t always sit right. I do miss the volume controls on the AP4, but it isn’t the end of the world. I don’t plan on ditching the Pro2s, but I’m happy to have both. The batteries on the Pro2 are better and perform better on a plane; I fly on 6 hour flights multiple times a year and the Pro2 doesn’t always make it. The find my compass actually works well with the Pro2s, BTW.
Fun fact you can have Apple swap out the batteries for $50 if you notice they’re degrading, it is definitely a better option than buying all new headphones every couple of years. They will also swap the battery on the charge case also for $50 lol
just tried it at apple store today. and this time, unlike other, i was a bit let down. its transparency mode is spot on, quite good. i almost got tricked that i didn’t wear any earphones. however, once i turned on ANC, i could immediately feel the pressure built up in my ear, which made me quite uncomfortable. guess airpods 4 isn’t really for me. i was abt to purchase it to complement my airpods pro 2.

I’ve had the Pro 2 for two years now. They are awesome, but I tried my friend’s Airpods 4 today and they are soooo comfortable. I think the downgrade may be worth it when mine die.
Not sure what more they can do for the AirPods without going over $200. The airpods4 is a solid deal and between those and the iPhone 16 apple nailed it. They were the 2 best things out of the September event. Anything more to the 16 and AirPods 4 and they’re just pro products.
I have a recommendation for you since these AirPods lose their battery life in 2 years you should get apple care plus so that you can replace them at the end of those 2 years for free and then they could last a total of 4-5 years I did that with the first gen of AirPods Pro and used them for nearly 5 years Now I am using the AirPods Pro 2 which have been great and I got the apple care for them as well
speaking of replacing Airpods. ive had my Pro 2s for two whole years now. and i still get a good 5-5.5 hours out of them so no need to replace them. they will last until Pro 3 comes out for sure.
I’m trying to decide witch over ear headphones would be best…The beats studio pro in matte white look 👌, not sure about the comfort tho. Airpods max look good to but only usbc and colors and $$$, there not even sweat proof 🙄but anyways would need to try beats studio pro.
I get why sound leaks on the AirPods 4, but it kinda defeats the whole point of them since headphones are supposed to be a private listening experience.
i got samsung buds plus 4 years ago they were suppose to give 11 hr of battery backup without case, and i did give me 11 hr backup.. but now i only get around 9-10 hr or bakup after 4 years.. and i tried using airpod pros for 4 months in 2023 but did not like the audio quality (even after calibrating and using auto callibration according to my ear scans) so switched back to buds+ and then i realized how long is 10hr of backup in 1 go.... I use iPhone 14 Pro tho..

Android user 2. how we can change the setting from MacBook / ipad
I used to wear the smaller tips to fit inside my ears but I switched to the biggest tips and it makes Airpods Pro 2 sound much better with deeper bass...louder too. I also have to adjust them less
@@lamar310 thats bc those are the ones that fit properly. if the fit is right and ur ears are clean then you will get a proper seal than doesnt require adjusting. the seal is what lets you hear the bass properly.
If you’re doing yard work I wouldn’t recommend any of the over the ears because of sweat. Especially the beats you mentioned. Those ear cups don’t come off so they’re going to start smelling fast. Think of it this way, if you kept the AirPods 4 and used them for at least 3 years, that’s only 16-17 cents per day to enhance your daily tasks 👍🏽 also Best Buy does airpod trade ins you can probably get $20-$30 back once it’s time to upgrade 🤮😂
I had my mind set on buying Air Pods pro 3rd generation and iPhone 16 Pro Max 2TB… Sure enough: APPLE DIDN’T MAKE THEM. Apple saved me $2000 this year.
I feel the same way about AirPods. As much as I love them, I lose them too easily, and even if I didn’t, the small batteries would degrade so much that I would need to spend 100-150 every couple years anyways. Waiting for AirPods Max to fix its quirks a little bit before I even THINK about spending 500+ 😭
Beats Studio Pro were fantastic!!! I tried them out back when they launched; I had them for a month because of a program from work where I could try the newly released products... and I truly think they're better than AirPods Max in every way.
Over ear 👂 like the beats 🎧 studio pro. I’ve got the beats fit pro they are like the AirPods Pro but cheaper. It would be good to hear your views on these headphones
Fit for my ears from best to worst 1. AirPods 1st/2nd gen 2. AirPods 4 3. AirPods 3 4. AirPods Pro 1st/2nd gen I have to put wing silicone on the pro models to fit in my ears like the beats fit pro.
For the sound bleed, how high of volume do you usually listen on? I'm curious if its maybe because the type of music you like listening to or the volume level.
One problem with the open ear design is that it allows a lot of ambient noise in so people feel compelled to turn it up loud. Ironically apples creating a bunch of people with hearing problems and then now getting their earbuds to be a solution using them as hearing aids
I wonder how these would be when riding a bike. Do you still get the sound of the wind hitting your ears? And does that still happen with rubber tips? Anyone try this?
Yea dude I was seriously invested on purchasing AirPods Max 2. But I can’t justify apples cash grab this time around. I just ended up buying another pair of pros.

I’ve had the Pro 2 for two years now. They are awesome, but I tried my friend’s Airpods 4 today and they are soooo comfortable. I think the downgrade may be worth it when mine die.
it blocks out noise but it creates it's own electronic noise right? like it's own electronic white noise
I own the 2nd gen pair and will upgrade to these once they stop completely working
Watching these video with my AirPods 4 ❤❤
Not sure what more they can do for the AirPods without going over $200. The airpods4 is a solid deal and between those and the iPhone 16 apple nailed it. They were the 2 best things out of the September event. Anything more to the 16 and AirPods 4 and they’re just pro products.
Gotta check out Sony XM… not ecosystem friendly but they have been great for many years already!
I was thinking about getting the AirPods 4! Now, I am almost sure I will get them.
I have a recommendation for you since these AirPods lose their battery life in 2 years you should get apple care plus so that you can replace them at the end of those 2 years for free and then they could last a total of 4-5 years
I did that with the first gen of AirPods Pro and used them for nearly 5 years
Now I am using the AirPods Pro 2 which have been great and I got the apple care for them as well
Do these have issues falling out of your ears? Can you work out with these?
Yes mine fallout and also they don't hold a long charge to me
speaking of replacing Airpods. ive had my Pro 2s for two whole years now. and i still get a good 5-5.5 hours out of them so no need to replace them. they will last until Pro 3 comes out for sure.
I’m trying to decide witch over ear headphones would be best…The beats studio pro in matte white look 👌, not sure about the comfort tho. Airpods max look good to but only usbc and colors and $$$, there not even sweat proof 🙄but anyways would need to try beats studio pro.
Get fairbuds. You can change the battery in those
Beats Studio Pro, you can probably wear those things for hours on the plane and be comfortable. Use your old AirPods until they die.
I would love to see your review and take on the Beats Studio Pros.
The Deal Breaker for me is the subpar call quality compared to the 3’s. Anyone else have a similar experience with the AirPods 4 ANC?
I get why sound leaks on the AirPods 4, but it kinda defeats the whole point of them since headphones are supposed to be a private listening experience.
Still rocking my Airpods 2. When there is time to replace them Airpods 4 looks like a great option. Don´t like silicon tips som Airpods Pro is out.
Did you buy beats studio pro in matte white yet? I’m curious if there good and also sound leakage?
I just saw the USB-C to 3.5 aux adapter on the apple store am I missing something?
i got samsung buds plus 4 years ago they were suppose to give 11 hr of battery backup without case, and i did give me 11 hr backup.. but now i only get around 9-10 hr or bakup after 4 years.. and i tried using airpod pros for 4 months in 2023 but did not like the audio quality (even after calibrating and using auto callibration according to my ear scans) so switched back to buds+ and then i realized how long is 10hr of backup in 1 go.... I use iPhone 14 Pro tho..
Great Video
thank you for detail explanation
I don't have Iphone. but I hv android phone and iPad and Macbook.
airpod 4 ANC came as bundle. i m thinking to sell it off the pack piece itself.
or
If u can explain how it will be useful for those who doesn't hv iphone :
1. Android user
2. how we can change the setting from MacBook / ipad
Why don’t you try the Beats Studio pro earbuds or beats plus? They are always son sale.
I got the 4 on sat! im excited to try them
Beats Studio Pro are solid headphones. They are my daily drivers along w/ Airpods Pro 2 to rotate
Have you you tried the extra small tips on the AirPod pro 2s? They’re game changing
I’ve tried them all
Same for me, love the tiny ones.
Can it connect to iPhone 7?
I’m 99.5% sure it can.
Of course I have iPhone 7 and 2 Apple AirPods and no issues 2 generation
Yesssssss more dance clips 🎉🎉🎉
May i ask what wired headphone you’re planning on getting?
I had my mind set on buying Air Pods pro 3rd generation and iPhone 16 Pro Max 2TB…
Sure enough: APPLE DIDN’T MAKE THEM.
Apple saved me $2000 this year.
first ever ones i got but just something thats not really bad but annoying the cap makes a c;iocky sounds when it goes left or right but thats it
Cant you repair the battery then?
I feel the same way about AirPods. As much as I love them, I lose them too easily, and even if I didn’t, the small batteries would degrade so much that I would need to spend 100-150 every couple years anyways. Waiting for AirPods Max to fix its quirks a little bit before I even THINK about spending 500+ 😭
Beats Studio Pro were fantastic!!! I tried them out back when they launched; I had them for a month because of a program from work where I could try the newly released products... and I truly think they're better than AirPods Max in every way.
Why are you talking about headphones on an earbud video
Over ear 👂 like the beats 🎧 studio pro. I’ve got the beats fit pro they are like the AirPods Pro but cheaper. It would be good to hear your views on these headphones
Maybe try the Soundcore Space One Pro? 🤔
Did you had to pre order yours I couldn’t get any I had to order wait for week
Same as Pixel Buds for the light indicator
Fit for my ears from best to worst
1. AirPods 1st/2nd gen
2. AirPods 4
3. AirPods 3
4. AirPods Pro 1st/2nd gen
I have to put wing silicone on the pro models to fit in my ears like the beats fit pro.
Do the new Iphones still have empty space for the sim tray? Also, Less than a year until IPHONE PRO MINI!!! WOOO!
SOUNDS like a solid upgrade
Next gen pro will be fire 🔥
If I currently own the AirPods 3 are the AirPods 4 with ANC worth the upgrade?
yes
classic iPod ad dance routines 😆 gooood morning!!
With the new Model 3 Highland you wouldn't had that issue, much much quieter.
Imma just use these for music, don’t care for the fancy stuff 😀
Got some today
I wonder how these would be when riding a bike. Do you still get the sound of the wind hitting your ears? And does that still happen with rubber tips? Anyone try this?
Yea dude I was seriously invested on purchasing AirPods Max 2. But I can’t justify apples cash grab this time around. I just ended up buying another pair of pros.
The fact that they switched back to an optical sensor is a big no-go for me.
