Hi. I have a Blink500 B5. I connected it to a Samsung A5. Pairing and recording worked. But I have a problem with the phase shift between picture and sound. Did you solve this problem? Thanks.
I only encountered this problem the first couple times I used the device and recorded past 10 minutes of time with my phone. Since adjusting my camera settings and upgrading video editor software, I haven't seen it again. Do you notice this all the time? Have you tried other phone settings, or other editing software?
@@legoertv4732 I just noticed with my new phone (Samsung S21) that this hasn't happened for me yet. Must be something with certain phones that does this. Thanks for reporting it out and I'm glad you found a fix! Cheers!
Let me share my experience with this setup. I tried it with several android phones and none of the phones own photo/video app recognize the microphone. Saramonic has own 3th part app/apk called SmartRecorder. I installed it on my previous mobile OnePlus and it worked fine, you just need to be aware to put the phone on flight mode since any kind of message or similar can cause it to stop and loose all the recording. Happened to me!!. Other issue for me is that it has no smooth zoom transition, but it has this jumpy zoom mode which is a bit anoying. Now i bought a new Pixel 7 pro cause of the photo/video quality with zoom etc, buuut.. the sound is not being recorded at the highest pitch and the result is lower sound/tone. Something, somewhere in the process in the phone or app is making it lower or not allowing to full extent. Pixel can't help since it's not their app or microphone, and Saramonic can't tell why. From what i can see is that the SmartRecorder app is possible to download from Applestore meaning it's probably more adjusted for iphones than android since as said you must download it via an extern link. So it is kind of a gamble will it or will it not work..
On this model, there should be a pairing in hole on the unit you plug into the phone usb charging port. In my case, it was plug and play but there is that option to connect it up.
Nice video and Great brewing set up! I am a Milwaukee boy (Ive been to Spike) living and brewing in Norway. I also have a Samsung S20 (untra note). Must I remove the UC receiver every time I want to listen to a sound check; this unit mutes the audio during playback.? I cant seem for find the work around to replay a short clip and be able to listen. Any suggestions would be great!
@@WreckedBrewery i have just bought that microphone and it don't work properly on my Samsung galaxy s8. Its very quiet audio playback. I'm thinking the phone is too old so I might upgrade to a Samsung galaxy s10. You had one will it work with standard camera app as well ?
@@WreckedBrewery yes I've tried everything, the volume is up on the transmitter and the phone. Maybe I can connect the usbc plug on the receiver to the headphone socket with a lead. There is sound but very quiet. Time to upgrade my phone. I'm in the u.k and maybe my phone is not compatible with u.s microphones.
@@raycurtis I've not tried this on an s8 (I think you said that's what you had). This is a great device, and I can attest to the s10, s20 and s21 connected to USB-C. They make different versions of it. Assuming you got the one that plugs directly into the power port of your phone, I would think it should work no problems. I wish you luck with it. Keep us updated if you figure something out, even if it's upgrading your phone. I'd love to hear that it's working for you. Cheers!
Nice review, thanks! I am going to get it.
nice overview!
Nice review sounded pretty damn good 🍻
Thanks man. Yeah I'm sold! I like this alot better than the phone audio I was using previously.
Wow! I can really hear the difference.
Thats great feedback Kevin. Thank you!

@@WreckedBrewery First I used the default camera on the samsung galaxy A5 and then the software: camera MX. In both cases, the problem was the same.
@@WreckedBrewery Thank you for perfect tip. I recorded video over 10min. Then it was better.

How do you pair them the transmitter to the mic

Well I solved it. Bluetooth earbuds or headphones. Bingo, all good.
Hello
What app do you use to record videos with ?
Or do you just use the standard camera app on the phone.
Standard camera on the Galaxy S20 and now S21.
@@WreckedBrewery i have just bought that microphone and it don't work properly on my Samsung galaxy s8.
Its very quiet audio playback. I'm thinking the phone is too old so I might upgrade to a Samsung galaxy s10.

I'm sorry I have no experience with Go Pro.
It won't go to 11? Come on Matt!
If only!
