@@elixirow3892 lmao that would be sad xD No I am thinking something like, if you drop straight from ground height, you would provide 600 shield as a fixed amount. Every meter of air travel adds 30 hp, so if you drop from 10m you would provide +300 shield (900 total). This would mean that at normal beat drop from ground level, you would gain 150 shield less than you do right now, but with a 10 meter drop you gain +150 shield compared to current drop which provides 750 shield. A 5 meter drop would be equal to current shield amount from sound barrier. So in general reactionary use it would be a slight nerf, but it could add situational advantages - and make you feel like the true DJ boss that you are! :D

Anyway if you don't understand the "42 the meaning of life" thing it was from a movie called Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and was a huge thing for several years after it came out. I'd explain but I feel like either watching the clip or even the movie to understand or looking up an official explanation would be better than me trying to explain because the way I word things doesn't seem to have the same impact.

Every time I play tank and get a Moira who actually uses coalescence to heal you, we stay alive through fights so much longer.
Am a Moira main and can confirm. I've used it to keep my teammates up when they're low and in the front line while the enemy team is moving in. I also use it a lot when my team gets caught up in mei's ult. Might not be able to keep everyone alive through it but there will definitely be less deaths (esp if the enemy Mei isn't the brightest and goes for the kills alone)
@@angelzpanik dont forget the heal orb that you can throw in too. This will give you 200 extra healing. I look to postition myself so o can hit a lot of players in my team and the enemy team. When someone is low i heal him first

@Elminster Overwatch While I get the joke you were going for, there IS a difference between a Noob Zen Solo Utling and a Pro Zen Solo Ulting. Noob Zen will Solo Ult to save himself regardless of situation and end up, effectively, throwing the match more often than not. Pro Zen will Solo Ult to save himself only when the situation calls for it. Also, Noob Zen, unlike Pro Zen, will generally not have a team that can handle a Genji Blade without a Support Ult in their back pocket. Because of this, it's often better to just hold your Transcendence at lower ranks so your team will have it next engagement instead of saving yourself.

Bad positioning. Almost every time I’ve died could have been avoided if in a better position. After that I’d say maybe not communicating. Also remembering to play as a team, and I don’t mean “group up here” “let’s push together” those are obvious, I mean paying attention to at least one other teammate while you’re fighting. Is our Mei in cryo freeze? She might need help when she gets out let’s go to her. Where is Winston jumping too? Let’s fly there too and target whoever he is targeting. I’m getting healed by mercy and I can see her hp in my UI, it went low real quick who the **** is hitting her? Our Reinhardt is about to charge in and be in a real bad position, let’s throw him an immortality field where ever he lands.
Communication is important but if you’re solo queuing just paying attention to where your teammates are at or what they’re doing (at least just one, choose one) makes a huge difference and might be much better than just paying attention to yourself (cooldowns, who you’re killing) or the enemy.

Watching enemy positions is also super critical. Just caught myself screwing this up the other day. I was playing Ana on the catwalk in Meka Base and saw a Reaper going around and called it out. Then I kept looking over but didn't see him so in my dumbass brain he just stopped existing. Then he came up behind me and killed me. If you saw someone going for a flank, you need to keep constant tabs on them and reposition yourself to where you can safely address it.
Or when I got dove by a blading Genji the next round and missed my sleep. If I had been tracking his position throughout the team fight I would have noticed him repositioning himself for his blade and could have slept him based on prediction and not reaction.
For the Zen one, there is a reason it's called "forcing" ultimate.
If you don't use it you'll be way worse off than if you use it early, so you're "forced" to use it at an inopportune time. From what I've seen it seems like a lot of people are scared of having ults forced out of them, and don't realise that ulting is sometimes the only option.
I was happy to hear the zarya one. I'm just getting back into OW and I'm by no means competitive but I always feel bad if I don't grav a whole team or perfectly coordinate with the rest of my team

If you're looking to keep the 1 tip series going indefinitely, I think the premise with the most potential is teammate synergy tips for every hero. Especially at lower ranks, teaching players how their hero plays around and combos with other heroes is a super underdeveloped part of gamesense.
another mistake I've noticed with a lot of moira ults in a lot of videos about countering her is that, like roadhog, you're also a sitting duck while pulling it off, and you can't retreat with fade, so be wary with your surrounding first instead of pulling it of randomly before getting gunned down five seconds later.

When baptiste was still only in quickplay, i played soldier on hanamura attack and waited for baptiste to pop his ult so I can use my visor through it.. just to see what happens.
Second point... baptiste pops ult from high ground, I was right behind him and used visor through it. But little did I know.... our ana had nano too.
So here I am one clipping a winston and enemy ana through winston bubble, then helix rocket the spawn and killed 3 squishies who were just coming out the door (tracer, widow, mccree) with a 360 damage helix

A note for the Pharah tip, shooting before your Barrage isn't always a bad idea, just make sure you are close up before pelting them with "Justice" That extra little splash damage can push certain heroes over the killpoint if Barrage itself doesn't kill them outright. Just don't do it from far away like the clip shows.

Great video! It always really helps not only with the heroes I play but also just for general in-game knowledge too. I do have one argument for the Mercy ult however. I find that it's often not as necessary to stay low and move behind cover since you become an easier target for enemies if you stay low, compared to them having to swing their head up to look at you, and not have surveillance over the fight, if they would try to go for you. However I do agree with it not being a good idea to just blindly hold space when you ult. But I do think you become a more effective Mercy when you're high up since you can have a very good vantage point over the fight which can be very important to know what is best to do. And who to heal. Thanks for reading!

I'd like to contribute a few tips too!
For mercy, bear in mind your healing gets cut off momentarily when you ult. This can mean letting an ally die. So make sure you use it when you can take the risk of breaking heals for a sec. Also, you can get killed while casting it, so don't use it when you're vulnerable and likely to die.
For dva, generally try to angle you ult so that the enemy has as little time possible to react once they see it, by having them see as little as possible of the mech before it explodes (throwing it over map obstacles like walls). By pressing q as fast as possible after using boosters, you increase the travel distance of the mech, so it explodes higher up.

My biggest tilt factor is when my team saves all their ults so we have 6 ults and then they blow it all in 1 fight while the enemy team only used 2 ults. We win the fight even though it’s already won but get steam rolled after since we have nothing
Edit: My second tilt is when my team holds onto ults so we lose the first point and we’re getting steam rolled but they don’t ult till there’s 5 minutes on the timer (a lot of time) and the enemy team is about to reach the final point. We have no ults again and the enemy team claps us with so much time on the clock

@3:00 Ah, I did an instant thumbs up for hearing you say that, KarQ. I have called that concept "Perfect Ultimate Syndrome (PUS) in all of the games I have played with ultimate abilities. Holding onto your ult never makes it stronger. Waiting for those multi-man ults all of the time means you miss out on so many other ult opportunities in a given match of OW.

The holding ults thing is so perfect for every hero tbh. Some people will literally only ult once in a match they probably lose just because it gets that one pay off; in the same time, they could've ulted two or three times (given you can aim with your mouse) and benefited more team fights than just one.

Tips for winston mains (like me) do occasionally go to enemy back line to split them up for your team so shields will only cover 2-3 enemies until they get back into position

I've found doing perpendicular sym walls (facing ~90° from center of point to your team) is really effective. Gives your whole team the ability to shield dance and forces the enemy team to coordinate around it.

A sick tip for Lucio’s Ult is if you drop the heat while your team is being gravitic flux’d, you can usually save the team from taking the massive damage. It’s saved a lot of team fights for me at least.
I justed wanted to say, you got me into overwatch. I saw this video and thought that I would try out the game. Now, I play it almost every day for a least 2 hours. I got to main McCree (somehow) and am really good at playing him. Thank you.

When I’m going to ult as roadhog and I know I’m going to take a lot of heat, I take a breather first for the 50% dmg reduction and healing for the first second, which is usually enough to knock the enemy back so they can’t kill me.
Always good to pop breather before whole hog, as you'll basically have it back when your ult is over as well

As a junk rat main one more tip for his tire is to pls for the love of god, DO NOT jump in the middle of their team with your concussion mines and pop tire. It will rarely work and would just end up getting you killed. Wait around a corner or in high ground for the enemy team and opposite of what Karq said but trying to detonate your tire quickly is key. But never rush a tire, if you can’t get a quick initial detonation than wait for a bit and try to catch somebody off guard. The problem with waiting is if you go quickly you can catch the team grouped and get 2+ kills. If you wait a long time after your voice line chances are the enemy team will be split up and looking for your tire which will make it more difficult to detonate. And also keep in mind that your tire can climb walls which if used properly can be amazing

One big thing I’ll say with Zarya is it’s always acceptable to solo ult a nano’d Rein, Brig or Winston. You’ll not only trade Grav for a game-changing nano but also prevent that hero from building ult off it, effectively going 2-for-1 in the ult game. What’s Rein gonna do while glowing blue in their back line? Look at you funny?
Bonus tip for torbjorn. You can shoot straight up and at the ground, and the duration only starts when it hits the ground, so the total molten core uptime is basically doubled
