Emily, I just have to tell you this. I found your channel about a month ago while I was searching for MAC dupes and I must say that you are my absolute favorite beauty guru on TH-cam. I feel like you are, by far, the most honest out of all of the girls I subscribe to & that is SO important to me. My husband even watches & enjoys your videos with me. As a matter of fact, I was makeup shopping online today & he suggested that I check out "Beauty Broadcast" first to see if there were any dupes or cheaper options! How funny is that!?!? Hahaha! :)
I started watching youtube videos by celebrity makeup artists like Lisa Eldridge and I learned how to use all the brush types you mentioned in this video... It was very enlightening! It's so cool to learn how to use the brush I didnt think much of and find out a whole new way of approaching the same makeup products I thought I knew!
I've bought some of the Up & Up shadow brushes, and I actually like them better than a lot of more expensive brushes I have. They're super soft, which I think is important for eyes, and they've held up well over the month or so that I've been using them - no shedding. I'm really happy with them!
This is great to know. I don't like spending a lot in brushes! Btw, I had an idea that might make a great video. Maybe you've already done it? But I thought a good video might be: products you've changed your mind about. Could be one way or the other. Liked it at first and now don't, or didnt like it initially, but now do! Is love to know if impressions changed after trying something more.

I like using the flat foundation brushes to apply cream bronzers. It allows you to get a nice crisp line, then I blend it out with a soft kabuki style brush. Hope that gives you another idea for using that type of brush!

I don't mean to be a busy body and I hope Emily answers you but the best Tarte brushes are the black rubber handle ones. I have several and a kit with grey handles I got from QVC and the eye brushes in the set are amazing but they (face brushes)were so poorly glued I returned one set got another and the face brushes in the second set did the same thing.

They're available online now and will hit stores 8/31, so when/if you're able to I would love to hear your thoughts on a couple of the unique looking brushes, or the brushes that speak to you! :)

That setting brush looks similar in size to the ELF small tapered brush, is it? If so, I love using my ELF brush especially to set my undereye concealer! thanks for the review xo

cool review! I have a question about brush cleaning in between washing the brushes. Does it hurt the hairs of the brushes to use like a hair bun thingie (same material as the stuff in a tin they advertise for 20.00) to get the shadow off the brush while changing colors? Is that about the best? I have also used just plain cotton rounds. I know they need washing but for temporary in changing colors and you don't want to use another one what is the best way to do that?
Hi Em, have you heard of or tried the MORPHE brand eye shadows or brushes ? The shadows are very pigmented and when bought by the singles, they only cost $2.00 EACH ! For a pallet of 35 I only paid $16.00 !!! I've got the multi colored pallet and they are great ! I'm still gonna purchase the neutral pallet. Would you please do a tutorial / review on this brand ?
The concealer brush is nice for contouring small areas, like the sides of the nose, under the lower lip, etc. I'm with you on flat foundation brushes; I never use them for foundation! :D
CAN you review the new Loreal Colored eyeshadows with pencil liners and colored mascaras ? They come in Teal , violet , navy blue and black . So wonderful to see your reviews !! Excited about Belle . We named our new kitten violet ! Xox Madelyn
Min 4:32 EXACTLY!! A lot of times I do see the Sigma brushes or other brushes online, but the shipping time really is a downside for me. Being able to just go to Target and pick them up, makes them a lot more accessible to me. Thanks for another useful review, Emily!
If I don't want to buy the whole set, is the Real Techniques setting brush comparable to the small brush you used to highlight and set your undereyes with in this set?
Sort of off topic:I grabbed that Bobbi Brown corrector because I remembered it from your channel, and I have to say, it's basically miraculous. The stick foundation, too.
I use those flat brushes to spread the foundation then use a separate brush to buff it in. There is something about using my fingers to spread foundation that just grosses me out. Those brushes are also nice for applying face masks.
I don't like those kinds of foundation brushes either. I get streamlines and they wind up sticking to dry patches definitely agree that full foundation brushes blend very well! But they are good for concealer!
Emily! If you could please find a doupe for the sigma brushes the ones you use to blend out your foundation. Ive wanted some but they are so expensive and if anybody can find some its you! (:

I like using foundation brushes to apply face masks! It works great for that!

I use those style of foundation brushes for applying face mask they seem to work really good for that.
I use my foundation brushes to apply my face masks.

Have you tried the Walmart brushes? They come in a set of 4, in a plastic bag with black handles? I can't think of the name at the moment.
