- Over on the east side charging and inspection lot it was all Cybertrucks and no Model Ys. Prufrock is a little deeper today in its tunneling.

Thanks Brad
0:19. Southend. Roof. Scaffold behind the parapet at the highest points.
0:55. Southend, west. Inside. West passage wall shuttering/formwork placed.
1:45. GA, loading platforms. New wall opening cut in between the platforms. Wider than a loading dock opening. Can’t be made much taller for a drive-through door as the column bracing behind restricts the available height.
2:06. Southend, inside. Columns. Beam connection plates for intermediate floors on some columns are recent additions. Shows that the design of the north half of this structure may not have been entirely settled, causing the delay in construction. More connection plates being attached now.
2:14. Southend, inside. Bottom. Excavator holding up a pipe riser, or possibly a hydrant.
2:19. Southend, inside. Left. 3 grade beams/strip footings. Rebar on the ground either side would be for walls to be constructed on the footing.
2:38. Southend, east. Easement area. Inserting screw piles. A dozen or more square rebar cages, and 8 column formwork boxes against the road.
There’s an 800’ long parcel of land here between diverging easements. Tapers from 0’ at the north end, to 120’ wide at the south.
Speculating this a location for some sort of plant structure rather than a building.
3:19. Parking Garage site. Stormwater drains. A large diameter ‘stopend’ to the right shows this run won’t cross the already installed east-west drains.
3:44. Windtunnel. Pair of Cybertrucks. Cybertrucks seen here on a few occasions over the last weeks.
4:07. BIW. Apron, loading platform. Far right. Large grey painted tubular component on a heavy duty low-loader. A huge flue/chimney seen delivered here in Joe’s video yesterday. Likely another component. Possibly another RTO, yesterday’s delivery was similar to the other RTO flues delivered.
Presumably being hoisted to Level 2.
5:06. Southend. Tank farm. Steel erection recommenced.
5:30. Westside. Tunnel Project. TBM rear shield now completely underground, as is the first back-up deck.
5:55. Westside. Tunnel Project. I count 13 lining rings. 19.5m or 63’.
Brad’s 16 March video at 5.26 allows the length of the TBM and first back-up deck to be scaled from what I have assumed to be a standard 40’ shipping container. Shows the overall length of TBM and first backup deck to be around 85’.
Back-up deck would be just out of sight in this view.
7:17. Far west. Earthworks. Extracting earth.
8:13. New EOL site. Northwest parking lot. Different curb/kerb arrangement here. Staff parking perhaps.
9:07. New EOL Superchargers. 6 footing locations (3 visible here). Rebar cage to the right.
Many less than the screw pile footings for the awning. These footings might be for light towers.
10:34. Tesla Road. South of. Rectangular patch of different gravel. Location for site office trailers, or a workshop.
11:27. Highway. Evidence of brake-lock.
11:40. Northend. Left. Landscapers repairing the turf.
13:20. Die Shop, south. Ramped entrance to the pedestrian doors under construction.
Right. Cathode. Water discharging out of the ‘US Filter’ trailer.
13:36. Cathode. Tank farm. Pipework fabrication crew making full use of the road on a quiet day.
14:58. WOW yard. Far left against the fence. Heavy duty low-loader trailer parked.
Check out 5:23 middle stake now tipped [not sure if relevant but amusing], and
6:22 end of conduits concrete pad and maybe some conductor pulled?
Dessie - I have asked around for this info without success, so I've come to the fount of all knowledge on Tesla Austin👴.
How many cars will the new multi level garage hold when it's completed?
@@Gig0Surf 5:23. It swooned. Gave it a tickle on the way under.
6:22. Nicely spotted. Not sure what that would be for. Possibly to run all the associated plant on the ground. Could also be the permanent location for the electrical services required in the finished tunnel.
Does look like a decent size bundle of cable.
Hopefully David Salisbury will chime in with his thoughts.
@@FairlyOldGit Stop it now☺
One of Joe’s patrons mentioned that a multi level parking garage at Disneyland of 1,620,000 sq ft has a capacity of 10,500 vehicles. Based on those figures this carpark of 1,743,000 sq ft could potentially have a capacity of 11,300.
Lots!
1:45 The Cyber truck has to exit the building somewhere, and the current location is no good in the short run. 20 Krispy Kreme donuts says that this will be the new Cybertruck exit point.
Thanks Brad!
South end, utility easement:
@ 2:40 Screw piles being driven.
Also @ 2:40 A good view of the River road extension work.
@ 2:58 Looks like they are going to completely fill in the pond.
Parking garage:
@ 4:12 (Bottom right) One switchgear cabinet placed. Three cable spools.
EOL facility, west:
@ 10:29 Looks like they are finally going to pave the northbound lanes of the north-south road.
Bess substation:
@ 13:13 Hard to see but it appears that 3 switches may still be open.
Tesla road:
14:44 Stacks of stormwater pipe.
Thanks Brad, nice work...good tunes
Thanks for the update.

Thank Brad
Thank you!
Merci👍👍👍
I am trying to get a better look at the White light fixtures around the building. Anyway we can get some shots of that?
Re 4:35. It will be interesting to see what type of surface finish will be applied to the top deck of the parking garage. Fairly rough concrete as we see it now is certainly not up to withstand the weather onslaught we may expect in Austin. Googling this subject I found a large array of possible solutions, but there is a big price difference between relatively cheap spray-on stains and the high-end membrane covers we see in upmarket indoor parkings. So what is the best compromise here, also considering the huge area's involved?
Concrete thick enough to cover rebar mesh should stand up to a Nuclear Attack 😉
There is the possibility of a roof over the structure. Each column (almost) has what appears to be threaded rod embedded in the top. Might be for a roof, might be for lighting.
Yay! The middle of the road poles are gone! @9:47 & 10:27 Only took nearly 2 years to remove 4 poles, FFS.
👍
You'd think they'd use a longer conveyor and have the tunnel dirt go straight into a dump truck
Then they would have to stop and start the conveyor as each truck is positioned.
Also can’t do that with a vertical cassette conveyor. Needs to be a horizontal cassette conveyor which are far more expensive at take longer to set up.
@@davidsalisbury50 Why? Couldn't they have just left one side open where they're dumping the dirt so that a dump truck could drive in and park under the conveyor belt? Maybe they would have had to dig out under it for the truck to fit, but it would seem like a good simplification of the process. Though if the flow of dirt is slow enough, it might not be worth leaving the truck parked there.
@@pfcrow Matching spoil removal to dump trucks never works. The TBM excavates continuously for 30-60 minutes, the TBM and conveyor can't stop while you change trucks. Vertical cassette conveyors like this have a side cross conveyor to the spoil stockpile as the cannot "end tip" from the conveyor due to its configuration.
How many cybertruck are made per week
I am guessing… but with all the pre-orders on the cybertruck.. everything on the ground here is basically sold and waiting to ship.. unless pre-orders dropped to nothing…
If preorders dropped by half, they still have a million left to ship.
The Tesla website say you can’t get a cyber truck until 2025 now
A lot of us who ordered are still waiting.
Yes, so the question is what are they waiting for? Do they have a lot of production issues to patch up on those Cybertrucks that are sitting around? Is there some logistical problem they're working out preventing them from shipping to a number of locations? It would be nice to see them clear out Cybertrucks by Sunday like they do with the Ys.
@@pfcrow I think the ones in the logistics lot are waiting for transport. Those that are not, have issues of some type. Not sure what is special about Sundays. Some people take that day off.
Are done with the foundation series? (I hope so)
Just a random thought. I wonder how much Tesla spends for construction and expansion each day.
Tesla says $10billion in capital expenditures for 2024. So about $27 million per day. That includes equipment not just construction.
@@swparsons Interesting. Thanks for the info!
@@swparsons $10 billion. Is that worldwide?
For 2023 they spent 8.9 billion worldwide for capital expenditures.
These included ramping up or expanding manufacturing facilities on three continents, developing new battery cell technologies, and starting the production of new products like the Cybertruck and the Tesla Semi.
@@6681096 Thanks!
Wanna they gonna move on from Foundation series?
They are already producing the dual motor version
@@TheKuyaHans
It’s still Foudation though, right? $96,000?
@@ChitFromChinola foundation series is rumored to be all of 2024 production and maybe even into early 2025.
Oh crud.
Hi Brad, any Video's coming out his week ?
Later today as soon as it finishs uploading. I wonder where Joe is at.
@@BTSloan70 He had the eclipse and family matters to attend to this week.
my wonder for the tunnel is if it will come out right out of wher the cyber trucks exit. Where else can it exit?
My personal guess is inside the new extension. It would make so much sense, since they left open this part for now
Or it could come out at the "same place" it entered ie just on the other side of the road, and out the berm.
china
@@eclecticmemes Not enough space for that. Vertical space.
We should know in a month.
@@DessieDoolan Dessie. No. A month is too long. A quick google search shows that Proofrock 2 digs at a speed of 1 mile PER WEEK and Proofrock 3 digs at a speed of 7 miles per day.
Brad no flight today (4/9) ?
storms today
@@BTSloan70 Thanks. You’ll be safe.
@@BTSloan70 As much as I enjoy the videos, the most important thing is to be safe.
In 2023 the Model Y became the best selling car in the world with about 1.3 million sold. Giga Texas is becoming extremely efficient at producing Cybertruck’s. Could the Cybertruck actually overtake that amount by 2025?
prolly not
No because the most in demand type of car worldwide is a crossover… the cyber truck will do well but only within its market
Cybertruck costs ~100000$...
@@paulomoniz7326. . . For now. . .
No. As others mentioned, trucks are less popular than crossovers and the Y is cheaper. Also, Tesla has indicated that they are planning on producing a lot more Ys than Cybertrucks.
