- There were no Model Ys in the east side charging and inspection lot. Plenty of Cybertrucks on the east side and west side of the Gigafactory. There is some work going on with the mega packs.

I was starting to get giga Texas video withdrawal symptoms, its been a days since I've seen a video.
Me too!
Same
Same.... i was just thinking the same thing
This was longest we have had to wait I think.
Exactly!
Seemed like plenty of model Y if production is down it can’t be by much! Those quicksilver model Y’s look great!
There aren't any in the old testing and calibration lot. I think they're sending them directly over to the west side outgoing facility.
Thanks you Brad, video fantastic, from Malaga Spain
Thanks Brad
Twitching has abated now.
0:30. GA, roof. To the right of the crane boom. 2 large rectangular cowls have been installed.
1:06. Southend, inside. Centre passage/tunnel. Roof complete.
1:28. Southend, east. Right. Parapet wall backing panels in place. No doubt a glazed facade is next.
1:33. Southend, east. Far right. Easement. New structure. Open air bridge crane? More efficient unloading of coils of metal for Stamping perhaps.
1:51. GA, roof. Top left. Scaffold and a new flue. Small, not the massive potential RTO flue delivered in Joe’s last video.
1:55. Southend. Tank Farm. Tanks don’t look so tall now.
2:05. Southend, east. Easement. New structure. Last pair of footings are more closely spaced. Similar for the bridge crane in Plastics.
4:05. Southend, east. Inside. Left. Walls built up to grade on the new slab.
4:19. Southend, west. Inside. Trench shield a little to the left of the speculative tunnel/ramp alignment. Large white riser pipe installed.
5:09. Westside. Tunnel Project. Lining segments being loaded onto the MPV. Spoil conveyor is moving.
5:48. Westside. Tunnel Project. Right. As noted by @Gig0Surf under Brad’s previous video, a green transformer has been installed.
The Airwave Dynamics video of 8 April at 2.34 has a great overhead shot of the generator trailers, cabling and transformer.
6:12. New EOL Superchargers. Model Ys here for the first time.
What I presume are lighting tower footings visible. 5 at this timestamp. Total of 8.
6:46. New EOL. Northwest parking. Asphalt paving laid.
8:43. Westside. Storage. New steel stockpile.
10:20. BESS installation. Washing down the megapacks.
13:02. Casting, diagonal corner. Apron. Stack of steel beams beside the new door opening.
13:13. Casting, east. Ramp to loading docks being demolished.
13:24. Casting, roof. Redundant roof curbs/kerbs/upstands permanently closed over.
13:53. E-WOW. Right. Extra heavy duty low-loader trailer there again/still
15:02. Cathode, west. Right. Shipping containers lined up.
15:14. Cathode, west. Dismantling the rubbish chute.
15:30. Cathode. Tank Farm. New pipework up the top of the 4 stainless steel tanks.
5:47 looks like a mobile compressor (green) and welder (blue) to me.
4:49 bobcat loader adding to surcharge (possible over excavation and collapsed ground above/behind the cutterhead.
@@davidsalisbury50 5:47. To the left of the shipping container that the silo screw-conveyors discharge into.
In Brad's previous video that was a bare slab with some cabling in conduits.
@@davidsalisbury50 4:49. Some light grey material there. Grout pushing out?
On a side note, I can totally see upper management, upon seeing the architectural drawings of the southern addition, making fun of Elon and calling the addition, "Elon's glass house" and some idiotic busy body didn't know the full story and went to the SEC saying the Elon was using company funds to build himself a glass house. ha ha ha ha . Anyone hear if the SEC investigation has been dropped yet?
We could hope that a MY production slowdown is because they are implementing the refresh otherwise demand is way down because folks are waiting for the refresh (Osborne effect).
That isn't happening this year. Most definitely next year for the juniper update
Slow MY production or the high number of CTs all over the place make it seem that way? Number of castings suggest production of both is continuing to grow and the employee parking areas are pretty much solid. Good to see because the factory output was quite meagre up until recently.
The inside scoop we need, is counting trailers leaving the west lot around the clock... that, determines what's going to happen going forward. Doesn't matter how impressive a lot of vehicles is if the carriers aren't moving them to Taylor of on down the road for customer delivery...
Great shots, Brad. More structural steel at the NW entry to the battery plant. They are far from having those new lines open, it would appear.
Yep, very much a building site inside there still.
Nice footage, Brad. Lots of change/progress since we saw GT drone video.
Thanks Brad
They've stopped using the east lot for Ys, so now it's all Cybertrucks. Now we see both on the west side. They seem to accumulate a lot of Cybertrucks, so I'm not sure if they're just slow on some of the logistics, or if they need more testing or rework before shipping.
Maybe the integration of Model Ys into the New EOL has temporarily thrown a clog in the works.
@@DessieDoolan Maybe, but I think it may also just be the same number of cars. Or they may have cut production based on demand. Or they may be more efficient at shipping them off-site with all the processing in the same area. Too many variables to know.
@dessiedoolan you notice Jeff’s video looks like concrete floor slab prep on South End.
I'll check it out, thanks!
Is model y production slow? Or is it just that they are bringing them straight to the new west side outbound lot directly. ?
Straight to the new EOL it would seem.
Yep. Looks that way for sure.
Its been slow all year with days completely off.
Thanks Brad, been looking forward to this fly over all week.
2:45 I'm surprised to see those two cranes still there. Those are expensive to rent, so usually they go away pretty quickly when they're not needed anymore.
I wonder if they have some agreements with the rental company where they are left onsite but unused, because it would cost more for the rental company to take them away, only to have to bring them back a few weeks later for another stint.
If it's the same company that did the wall panels then they might own the cranes.
450 CTs
11:20 Looks like they're about to pave the other side of the main road across the west side. That will be nice for all the car carrier trucks.
No curbs yet...although that's never stopped them.
It seems like they have shifted a lot of new cars to the westbound lot. It needs expansion quickly!
Thank you!
maybe more of the Y post line work is happening in the west lot/facility now and we'll see it stay pretty low until they burn off some inventory ?
By the looks of it the model Y checkout has moved across the highway now too. Expect the original lot to be Executive parking or something eventually.
Merci👍👍👍
Thanks!
3:52 middle of screen MYSTERY CONSTRUCTION..... What in the heck could this possibly be? Sandwiched between two sets of powerlines, closely spaced columns, with screw pier bottoms, X2 if they build the right one the same as the left one.... possible ideas? A cyber blast wall? A sand based geothermal energy storage system? (heat pumped into the sand during the day, and extracted at night?), a base tower for a gondola system between the parking garage and the new southern building, .........
3:52. External bridge crane perhaps.
@@DessieDoolan To be fair, a crane nor a gondola makes sense seeing how close those overhead powerlines are.....
@@eclecticmemes Sightseeing gondola? I guess it's.......possible...
Another box of Krispy Kremes for you if that turns out to be correct.
@@DessieDoolan A gondola would be a cool people mover between the factory and the parking garage, but I doubt it due to the powerlines...... And I still haven't seen any sign of cybertrucks exiting the new hole in the wall.
@@eclecticmemes 0:32. Cybertruck new exit. Yes, I regret sending those Krispy Kremes now. Don't know what I was thinking.
Cut out wall panel is laying on the ground still.
I still haven't spotted an exit point for the TBM. Nothing beside the berm, nothing inside of the new construction. I wonder if it is going to come up inside the already finished part of the factory?
I'd say not. If that was the plan the alignment would be directly to that location. The best curve is no curve.
My guess it goes right on through to the other side. They then tap into it with the three shafts inside the factory extension. Maybe it continues east just far enough to bring it back to the surface outside the factory or maybe it continues farther east for some additional purpose.
@@CarlWithACamera Tunnel would need to dog-leg around the Stamping 2 extension to proceed further east. The space immediately to the south of Stamping 2, the first 8m 24' or so is taken up with footings and stormwater drains.
Plot twist, it goes all the way to the rail yard. ;)
@@sammyk874 Let's see how far this goes!
Along side of the battery building is 4 cooling units with space next to them for 4 more.
Across the freeway on ther westside in an excess materials yard site with 16 more
cooling units waiting to be installed. HOLY COW!!!! What the hell it Tesla planning for
at Texas that will req 16 more cooling units? The model2 should need only 2.
!
Ummmmm You didn't happen to see a huge addition to the south part of the factory, completely encased in Glass walls? I'm thinking a southern glass enclosure in Texas means a huge huge quantity of A/C is going to be required, what do you think?
@@eclecticmemes Yep, huge heat load to deal with there.
It gets really hot here.
Parking garage, south:
@ 2:27 (Bottom left) One transformer placed, one on the flatbed truck.
New concrete pour on the top deck. Also seen @ 3:32.
South end utility easement:
@ 3:55 (Bottom left) Screw piles driven and forms placed for footings and concrete poured.
Megapacks:
@ 10:39 Once again, the cabinet doors are open on the transformer on the north end.
Bess substation:
@ 10:47 Three switches open.
Eastside of casting @ 13:31 (Bottom, open vault by the building) Cable pull through the new Supercharger duct-bank. The cable spools can be seen @ 13:20 Upper left, on the other side of the road.
3:55 these pile caps also appear to have a rebar cage sticking up for columns, with formwork for that just to the side
@@Gig0Surf 3:55. Pile caps. Bonus points to you for use of the correct terminology!
Could they be pushing resources to CT to fill the 1,000,000 pre orders? As a shareholder I hope so, they’re very profitable.
"As a shareholder I hope so, they’re very profitable" I call it greed. 😊
So much for the leader's claim that he wants to produce an "affordable" EV.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn Greed lol... Capitalism.
@@memrjohnno Which is why Capitalism sucks. It is based on greed. Though it always has been, It seems like there is more greed now then ever. Even worse, some people think greed is good! Unfortunately, there is no viable alternative to Capitalism. Communism sucks even more!
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nnyou think they can just announce a new vehicle every month?
They haven't even announced a cheaper model yet.
Does giga Texas make model Y any longer?
Does anyone know whatever happened to Joe Tegtmeier? He used to fly videos over a giga Texas...

@@sergiomessina2037he will be back Monday
Thanks for the great video Brad I was also having withdrawals!
@@sergiomessina2037 Joe said in his video last week that he had family coming for the eclipse and would be off most or all of this week.
This place is such a hot mess still; I thought it opened over 2 years ago?!?
That guitar solo hurts my ears every time.
Brad doesn't say much, so you should be okay by turning off the music!
