I'm just now realizing what a good role model Scrooge is. I mean, the guy went from shining shoes to being the richest ever. Even still keeps his first ever dime around, this guy knows how to save and properly spend money.
This is very true I used to code when I was 11. I wanted to make a cool game but never did because I always gave up. After a year, I tried again and actually made something cool but never finished the game. A few months later and now I've nearly finished the game, made animations and I've become an amazing coder! Soon I'lll be learning new languages and helping others.
This is something a lot of public schools should influence their students with. It's really pathetic how failing moments are later used as punishments to make students feel bad about themselves. A lot of teachers who favor their "top" students don't realize that they don't become all that successful at the end because they followed way too much from the book. I grew up as the C student of my family, and I assure you that I developed all kinds of successful moments that originated from failure. It's just pitiful how some of my hypocritical teachers never saw it that way.
Failure's a tough one. I was raised to believe that if I didn't perfectly perform some new task or skill or immediately and completely learn something that I'd never encountered before, not only had I failed, I WAS a failure. This makes life miserable and nightmarish. Viewing failure as a normal human activity and part of the learning process toward achieving success is much healthier and far more productive.
*”The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way, becomes the way”* - Marcus Aurelius This is a great quote from one of the most powerful human being the world has ever seen. 1:48 the space shuttle that burnt up on re-entry was Columbia, not Challenger. Challenger had tragically exploded on take-off back in 1986, also killing all 7 of her crew. Though lessons were learned from this disaster too (and the designs and launch practices of the space shuttles were modified) it could arguably have been prevented from happening in the first place if the ground controllers hadn't ignored their engineers warnings that conditions weren't safe to launch.

Way back 2017 and 2018 I failed my licensure exam and I could say that it really turned my life upside down. The pressure was real because everyone in the family expects so much of me, only to disappoint them especially my parents. I went through depression - didnt want to eat, kept crying, didnt wanna go out and spend time with family and friends, and I even broke up with my boyfriend at that time because all I felt that time was shame, I felt so dumb and so low, I just wanted to disappear. Even came to the point of wanting to kill myself. Funny how one exam can change your life and personality, yea? But it happens. Its been years now, but the pain is still there. It still haunts me. I even have nightmares about it. But I stopped trying, and I'm honestly so tired. I guess I was never meant to be a doctor haha.
Sorry you had to go through all that but I’m glad you’ve hung on since 2017. Failure really is a teacher and it’s an inevitable no-one. Just like no one person exists, no one uniformly-successful person exists. You might have to ‘fail’ 900 times before you get to where you really need to be.

I have this issue. My business failure is trigging my anxiety and depression recently this has got even worse as it causing me to have non epileptic seizures. This video is so perfect for me. So thank you soo much for making it. I need to get over my feeling low over failure.
Recently, i got dismissed from my nursing program in college due to my grades plunging, it was mentally and physically taxing. I always thought to myself that i've failed my family, I felt so ashamed and embarrassed that I couldnt get out of bed, eat, or go to sleep. I always told people that it was meant for me, etc but in truth, it was all denial and one of my friends could clearly tell. Now, I'm trying my best to change my field of study, my family thankfully has so many connections so they can help me too. I can help in a different light! I took this lesson of failure and said to myself "I tried it, I've survived three years of it, and it's a fantastic skill set to have and know, and hey, it can and will save someone even a few seconds more." So this video, really solidified that I will make it through :3
i think the fear of failure has to do a lot with the shame of making mistakes and perfectionism,i'm here to comment as someone who failed in everything their entire life, literally 0 achievements, you don't have to succeed even, the value and the idolizing of success is just an idea that was created in our minds by our environment (parents, social media, school..etc), i decide everyday to accept that i fail in things, and that should never define my worth, we're looking for an emotional connection through success (either people's love or approval, a good sense of worth or anything) but who said that once we succeed we'd get that happiness we want? many famous and intelligent and successful people are depressed, because since we're all looking for what's better we'd always not feel enough, many people are failures and didn't achieve their dreams,do u think they're unworthy of existing just because? no one 'has' to be someone, maybe if we just live we'd feel that success within, trust me i care about you, and i'm still proud of u even if u failed ur whole life💗

Im just tired Just want to rest Rest for eternity I lost my job I lost my life on university and failed I need to rest , sleep for decades but I mean I cant do it , others need me we all have others that trusted us our family, our friends, our partners We cant just rest now , we need to just keep moving maybe one day we can rest for good but till that day we need to keep trying
often when I do something for the first time, I put an OBSCENE amount of effort into my first attempt, often for no good reason, so when it inevitably comes out wonky from inexperience, I feel like that's the best I'm ever going to do, and the urge to give up instantly starts to bite down. it's that way for everything from making my first Minecraft skin, to writing my first character backstory.
It does stink though when failure could also mean a loss of life, worse financial strain (U.S education system comes to mind), acquiring permanent or severe damage on a person/thing, and damage/destruction of our environment (failing to fix global warming, Chernobyl meltdown, etc)
I feel like a failure. I've applied to hundreds of jobs and never get it. The only time I've ever gotten a job was whatever a friend work there and they said they needed somebody bad. Then I just show up and get the job automatically. But any job I've ever gone into by myself and applied and tried to get without any help, I've never gotten it. I'm 38 and I still live with my parents because I've never had a job that paid me more than $11 an hour. I don't know how to get a job that pays more than your average $10 or $11 an hour. So you're telling me that it's a good thing that I still live with my parents and I can't find jobs? I don't get it

"But I keep failing in life over and over and over. My chances at success are nil." You see that dude who survived Russian roulette five times already? Wanna play? Looks safe. NOT. If even something as stupid as that has no zero chances, then INSTEAD just try at succeeding in life again. And try a better strategy.
There is no fail... ONLY "quit". If you don't quit, then you only ever suffer a happy little setback... Some may be happier or littler than others, but they're all just setbacks. Re-evaluate the approach, tweak where you believe the setback originated, and re-apply yourself. Sometimes it calls for taking a break to recover for yourself... BUT taking a break is not "quit". It's time taken to do a bit of research, to train and improve skills or make notes for changes later... It's letting your body and mind recover from the latest of setbacks, and building the courage and metal to get back up and resume progress toward your goals. ;o)

Just want to rest
Rest for eternity
I lost my job I lost my life on university and failed
I need to rest , sleep for decades but I mean I cant do it , others need me we all have others that trusted us our family, our friends, our partners
We cant just rest now , we need to just keep moving maybe one day we can rest for good but till that day we need to keep trying
If you’re not failing, you’re not learning.
Why can't one learn from success just as well?
often when I do something for the first time, I put an OBSCENE amount of effort into my first attempt, often for no good reason, so when it inevitably comes out wonky from inexperience, I feel like that's the best I'm ever going to do, and the urge to give up instantly starts to bite down. it's that way for everything from making my first Minecraft skin, to writing my first character backstory.
I don't get it
I love these videos, very helpful and sure make me feel like a successor
Hi ! I just subscribed to your channel for a few weeks now. Can you please make a video that is 20min or longer. Your voice is so calm and really help me sleep at night. ❤️
I wish I knew how to be kind to myself when there are very critical people in my life😭😭😭
"Me and Grace are inseparable!
we've been through it all!
and we've been making such great progress in helping her overcome addiction and deal with her mental health issues, I know we're meant to last, we trust each other with our lives!"
**20 minutes later**
"Oh look, 'How to overcome failure' just in time...."

whats the point of waiting for failure to turn into success when worse people get success automatically

"But I keep failing in life over and over and over. My chances at success are nil."
You see that dude who survived Russian roulette five times already? Wanna play? Looks safe. NOT.
If even something as stupid as that has no zero chances, then INSTEAD just try at succeeding in life again. And try a better strategy.
ThiS Channel is it

As a perfectionist, I could not keep my brain from screaming at me this whole video.

Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.

I’d trade everything I own to be a normal person that never makes mistakes
Thank you so much for the invo
There is no fail... ONLY "quit". If you don't quit, then you only ever suffer a happy little setback... Some may be happier or littler than others, but they're all just setbacks. Re-evaluate the approach, tweak where you believe the setback originated, and re-apply yourself. Sometimes it calls for taking a break to recover for yourself... BUT taking a break is not "quit". It's time taken to do a bit of research, to train and improve skills or make notes for changes later... It's letting your body and mind recover from the latest of setbacks, and building the courage and metal to get back up and resume progress toward your goals. ;o)
I fail more than 500 experiment, i think even more but as long you can narrow those failures you will get what you want
So nice
Ilove your videos!!
