I just spent 30 minutes going back and forth trying to get Wabbin and Perda to reunite. It felt like the Missing Cuocos quest in BoTW. Nothing but heartbreak...
Me too… i finished impa‘s quest only so that the one guard guy would return to Kakariko and give me the „help me make up with my wife, the fletcher“ quest i was SURE totk would have. no dice, he just sometimes stands in front of her door and says that he misses her a lot. why can‘t we help reunite all these couples?? :(
Penn's unfinished story and Kass's unexplained disappearance hit me especially hard. I'd pay for DLC just for five extra minutes of game content that would wrap that up.
Also at lucky clover: the missing sister (Douma?). Once you get the back room open Traysi's sister mentions that she's disappeared. You can find her hanging around Eldin (at first near the southern mines cave, then I think in goron city proper which i think is triggered by the Gorondia quest with the goron kid?), but there's no follow-up if you find her. No "hey, my sister is missing. Take a pic if you see her and lemme know she's alive, Link. Also for Mattison/Hudson: Hudson actually asks you for a picture of Mattison, but then when you bring it he's just like "k thx" and goes back to dealing with Kilton? Karson also feels like he should be used in more quests. There's a single time you use him to fix stuff for lucky clover, but no other times. Seems like that should be repeated? Pikango: I'm surprised there wasn't any quests for him. He hangs out in a few places under the lotus islands and tells you how inspired by them he is. He doesn't ask you for pics or anything, though
On the great plateau, the old man's shack that the yiga clan over take and kidnap one of the fashion people to make yiga armor, if you go back after getting a full set of yiga armor and talk to the swordsmaster there, he will ask you to kidnap another mushroom hat person. granted it isn't an intended feature of the game, but you can still totally do it
I and a lot of people were hoping the DLC would allow for a story where we helped Penn search for Kass, perhaps in the land beyond Hyrule. its a shame the game wont get DLC when it clearly has room for improvement.
I felt Beedle's role was massively under-used in the game. If you don't trade him a beetle, he mutters something about hiring someone to rob Link in his sleep. I think that would make a great side quest...a showdown between Link and Beedle. As a reward it could have given you a 50% discount on everything he sells, which would actually make sense to buy from him. I loved his role in Skyward Sword where you realise he has an entire other life aside from the travelling salesman. I also loved the Rito mom who gives you arrows after saving the village. There should have been something similar in every village where you can obtain a large amount of bombs or rare fuse items in exchange for collecting things. BOTW had the Zora who gave you diamonds for luminous stones which was amazing. Luminous stones are so useless in this game and it takes ages to feed the Dodons. There could also have been a crossover of sorts between the Yiga and Gerudo. Considering one clan is all male and one is all female and they live virtually next to each other. Link sneaking in the Yiga Hideout dressed like one of them mirrors the Gerudo town trick from BOTW. So it's a shame there isn't a single side quest involving a Yiga falling in love with Gerudo or vice versa.
OK it’s nice to see that it wasn’t just me, I swear there was so many interactions in totk Where is that like it should’ve activated side quest but it didn’t.
I was legit distraught with Penn's ending Really hope there's some sort of DLC to find the missing bard, like a sleuthing investigation leading you all over the map
There’s a dude in mushroom clothing trying to get the fireproof armor. You can find his wife at one of the stables while he walks back and forth to the entrance of Goron city. There’s no helping him. There’s also the couple that was looking for blue nightingale flowers in botw. He’s now looking for the master sword to protect his better half and is separated from her while he looks. If you show him the sword his dialog changes but they don’t reunite. Talking to her doesn’t do anything. I think the recipe quests are just that. With 228 recipes to find the recipes are the rewards. Maybe a difference in the English translation set up the wrong expectations. I’d like to know how these recipe missions are present in Japanese.
I'd also like to add the guy at the stable who separated from his wife who can be found at another stable to find the Master Sword and a kid at another stable who complains about his missing brothers. One of the brothers can be accounted for in a quest involving Flowerblight Ganon but I can't find the other one and no quest is triggered for the guy or the kid. Is there anything that can be done with these characters?
I think the Penn quest and him referencing Kass, his only mention in TotK was the biggest slap to any Kass fans. Kass not only played a huge part in BotW, but he played huge part in Champion's Ballad DLC and helped you find shrines with hints. The fact that TotK ignores Kass except for that one Penn reference, it's honestly baffling what decision in removing him was, Kass's theme is a really good song as well and the fact it ended up in Smash was good for his character to have as well.
I feel like they deliberately left Kass out (along with certain other characters and elements) to drive home the fact that this is a different game and not a BotW expansion. Still, teasing him and giving zero explanation of his absence feels kinda weird. It would've been cool if at least Penn would lead us to a journal of his that would explain where he's gone, or some detail like that.
One of Kass' kids mentions him when we first get to Rito Village and they sing us the Song of the Stormwind Ark. After they finish the song, Notts(?) says "papa (Kass)" used to sing it to them
I'm fine with how the Mattison questline ends. I'm sure a lot of parents can relate to feeling like you have to help out your child all the time, only to realize they're just fine on their own.
The Gerudo town woman looking for her love only messes up the first meal even if you have not finished the main quest yet. I have collected two good soups from her since the first mistake.
I don't think I would ever find out what to do with that flower wreathe if I didn't see a certain guide. Will the Gerudo talk to Link if he has his Link's Awakening Mask on? I made the mistake of putting on a Yiga Mask and got tossed in prison. Oops. I like how Mattison has her father's hair. I actually did go to Gerudo Town to look for her.
I tried way too many things to make the journalist in Goron City aknowledge the ancient city of Gorondia... I was sure there was gonna be a quest, similar with Penn, where we discover ancient constructions in Hyrule's regions... which would have been epic!! But nope. Only a tourist guide. Also, I am still convinced there is something to do to have a second dying shop in Hyrule, since the lady at the shop's door speaks in her sleep of a second shop to open somewhere else. And what about the Zora King who is supposed to go back in his hideout?
I felt the same way about Marrison. The one thing I was expecting was...I thought when you take a picture of her and show it to her mother in Tarrey Town, i figured she wants to know how HER DAUGHTER is doing. But nothing was disappointing.
If you go to the bar in Garudo town, the bartender will occasionally gift you a Noble Persuit and say it's courtesy of Addison. So, she's a precocious child buying drinks for the 100 yrs+ Link
I'm really missing master mode. At least with the Master Sword you can fuse things to it to make it better, and it is improved against gloom enemies and the final boss, but I want my gold enemies back!
Yeah sadly there will be no totk dlc the producers said they did everything they wanted to do with this version of hyrule and don't want to dwell on it for too much longer I mean then again totk was originally planned as botw dlc but it was too big to just be a $20-$30 dlc and they've already begun the early stages of development on the next 3D Zelda game you know the drawing board and coming up with the story it'll probably come out 2027-2028
I expected Tosi, the guy in the emergency shelter working on armor, to have a quest or provide a service. But nope, he has one slightly-variable line of dialog.
Something that drives me nuts about Totk is that almost all of the ncp characters you literally helped or saved their life in BOTW act like they don’t even know you in Totk.
After learning of the origins of the Light Dragon, I wanted a backstory for the three we met in BotW. They owe us for closing the door on potential lore, so they better renege on that assertion, if not develop a story involving unresolved lore in a future game.
I'd love to know why there is (another) blank wall in the shelter in Lookout Landing. And what's up with the guy walking his cuckos up to the Hateno Tech Lab?
Anything involving the Gerudo has a very simple answer - Men are not welcome in Gerudo Town. Can't get the guy out of prison, even though his intentions were pure (I.e. - he just wanted to visit his wife and daughter); well, he broke the Gerudo rule of no men being allowed in town (without the express permission of the Gerudo Leader). So, into prison he goes. Can't help Maddison adjust to her new life as a Gerudo - well, you play as a Hylian male, it ain't your business in helping her to adjust to the all female Gerudo society.

The Don Dons. You find them from a quest, but it feels like there should’ve been more to them.

As morbid as it may be, you can save the baby Leviathan skeleton to Autobuild for some really bizarre designs.

There won’t be a dlc it’s confirmed😊

As a huge Zelda fan as in I have played all of them. The sidequests are so unrewarding. You only have a select few that give you anything of value

The spot in the well is taken care of by the youngest Cottla
Why does everyone assume Zelda took over Link's house? Link can still sleep in the bed in the house, so wouldn't it make more sense they shacked up?
i thought there was a side quest for the dad... there should have been.
The cuccos owner Cado obviously wants to talk to his ex-wife Rola as she does, but both remain not doing so...

Great game but doing quests , getting new gears or shrines seem irrelevant since you can beat the game with a few hearts and basic gears
