Keep that cucumber water. You can add it to drinks. Its 1000 X better than Gatorade. You can use it in salad dressings and dips or gazpacho salsa...man I could go on and on. Great video.

My Mama fried cucumbers. They tasted like fried green tomatoes to me. She would sprinkle them with salt to dry them out some. Batter them, then fry them. I'm surprised how many people don't know you can fry or steam them. I've even heard people didn't know they could cook the greens from broccoli and leaves from some garden beans. This stuff is yummy. My Mama didn't waste a thing.

I stumbled across your vids by accident, and the word 'serendipitous' could have been invented for that occasion! As a Brit, I'm not given to gushing (stiff upper lip, and all that) but I find your vids very informative, entertaining and beginner-friendly. It has been some years since I 'grew my own', but as I'm rapidly approaching retirement, and once again have a garden, it is my avowed intent to do so once again. I love cooking, so your cooking vids are most welcome too. Thank you both, keep up your good woek, and may your God go with you.

How cool is this! Never heard of it but will be trying it. Have you guys tried roasted vegetables? You cut sweet potatoes into thick round slices after peeling them, 2 inches thick and you dump them into a bowl with melted coconut oil and stir them. Then lay them out on a parchment covered cookie sheet. If you want to cut out a bowl washing then just melt the coconut oil on the cookie sheet and then put potatoes on and coat them directly on the sheet. Foil is very bad for your brain. Preheat oven to 425. Then you sprinkle them with garlic powder, paprika, and a light dusting of cayenne. Roast them 25 to 30 minutes. You can turn them over after 15 minutes. They need no salt, no sugar and are so incredibly good as roasting them at high temps makes them very sweet and concentrates the flavors. Try carrots, onions, and green beans. I only put a small amount of salt on these vegetables though. I promise you will not be able to stop eating them. I am excited to try roasted radishes as I have heard it completely changes them. Thank you for recipe, Nancy. Forgot you had a convection oven so you might not need to turn them over.

This looks amazing! Like other post I didn't even think of of pulling the water out so you can fry cukes! What a great way to use them and try something yummy and new. I love canning dill pickles too. My granny, Gid bless her sweet soul, she moved on to Glory now, she loved Bread and Butter HOT pickles. She pickled hot cauliflower too. She always made me some mild tho cause my innerds can't take the heat! Lol My cucumber didn't do so well. :( I think cause it was just too HOT 90's and 100's) I do have a lovely farmer just around the corner though and I'm gonna go get me some and fry these up! Thank you as always for caring enough to share your gifted blessings from God. Your gardening skills and wonderful cooking. You have no idea how much you've helped me. So glad you subscribed! Welcome to the family. Yes Janet, when we moved to our new homestead in Florida we knew there would be a long period of time before our new videos would be ready for release. While we are working on the new videos we continue to release never seen before videos from our Virginia homestead. As you know, all our videos are progression videos so they can take a long time to create but they will be worth the wait. We thank you for your patience with us during this difficult transition period. We should be ready to start releasing new videos from Florida by April. We are really looking forward to sharing them with everyone. Thanks again for watching, have a peaceful weekend ❤️

Hollis & Nancy's Homestead - They look a lot like the ordinary cucumbers we get in stores here in Norway though. I have no idea what exact type they are, as they are not marked with anything but "Agurk" ("cucumbers"). But wouldn't the recipe work with other cucumbers, as long as they look the same? If there may be very small differences, would that really matter? Too bad if one can't make it without having the exact same cucumber... Thanks for sharing! I love the idea of using cucumbers this way, would be able to enjoy much more of it this way! ☺️👏👍

You will love it. Its Hollis's favorite. Just a different way to eat a lot more healthy cucumbers. :-)

That looks like an amazing recipe, but is it possible to make it with something other than sesame seeds? We don't care for them. Thank you for your time and God bless.
