I've never heard of Molly Tuttle before, Rancid are one of my favourite bands and ...And Out Come The Wolves is probably my favourite album ever, but she has absolutely nailed this, what a performance and an unbelievable rendition of a great song. It might be better than the original and that is probably the highest compliment I can give her.
Amazing, how she could take one of my all -time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite bands and do it in a completely different style and just nail it. It has all of the same emotion as the original with her beautiful voice and incredible guitar playing.
Astonishing, uplifting, strong... that upstrum on "back" is just one of a zillion brilliant little details in this wonderful piece of work. Molly's the best.
Billy Strings was Molly's roommate for a time in Nashville. He said she would come home from touring and go straight to her bedroom and write song and practice. She was the hardest worker he had ever seen.
Ive never heard of this girl! I searched olympia by rancid and this came up so i checked it out!! Always one of my VERY favorite rancid tunes, and i have ALOT of favorite rancid (op ivy) tunes!! This was AMAZING! Thank you very much!!
Is it her best performance to date? One could ask that about any of them, really. This young woman is magnificent on every level, without question, without exception. I truly hope to see and hear her live one day, with and/or without her band. It's beautiful work. We need this in our lives.
This reminds me of when I saw Richard Thompson live on stage a while ago. An artist who has the ability to sound almost like a full band and capture an audience, still being alone on stage. A solo appearance may even be perferable because her qualities become more apparent in a solo performance.
I wholeheartedly agree. I’ve seen RT many times, and when he’s at his best it feels like this. There’s a very small group of acoustic players who can tap into this level, especially while keeping the vox beautiful and committed: Thompson, Kottke, Watson, maybe one or two others. This is just amazing.
Yeah, this lady had some SERIOUS command! Especially playing a slower/ softer punk song with emotion and only an acoustic!! Thats super gutsy!! It's 100% paid off though!! Beautiful!!!
Dear Molly, You sing that song in an amazingly way. I love the original. But your version.. Just sitting there, listening it again and again.. I'm speechless. Wow. Thanks.

Rancid covers really show what a great songwriter Tim Armstrong is. Take away the punk edge and you really hear how lovely his melodies are.
Fr youre right but nobody was lovin it as much until this cute weird country girl played it like this
right
Surprising, isn't it? From listening to the original (a blast of kickass punk), I would never have believed that such a cover was possible.
@@mitchfitz4259Rancid is basically urban bluegrass.
@@JorshWarshington1I was 😅 my fav song ever
Not only is she a great guitar player, her voice is absolutely lovely.
I saw her live in the UK I actually got very emotional she is an angel 😇
As a really big fan of rancid this is one of the best covers I've ever heard of the song kudos
I grew up on Rancid. Discovered Molly recently, then I heard this cover. Nailed it on all levels.
Thats true 🤟
Check out her official video then. It's just awesome.
True.. Really love this version..
I don't know Rancid
But I hope to record this tune in Portsmouth NH
Gave a thumbs up a couple of years ago... here is another. 👍
Rancid is my all time favorite band since I was 16. This absolutely blew me away.

Ironic
I really didn't know who Rancid were before this
Seattle band
I have no FClue
@@francoisa5656 Not Seattle, Rancid is from Berkeley, California
@@francoisa5656 Highly recommend "...And Out Come The Wolves"; it's probably my favourite album ever, as well
@@ramonwesselink3702 perhaps the best punk album to come out of the incredible skate punk 90s era. Just a fantastic album all the way through.
almost 30 years later and now I can actually understand the lyrics haha. this cover is amazing!

She just did it again with Ruby Soho
Ive been stuck on this for dayyyyssss now. One of the best covers of all time IMO
Me too. Are you still stuck? I’m trying to stop but I can’t.
@@timsmusic7349 , it's part of my driving playlist so I hear it once a day atleast
@@jeremyjgould Been listening to Molly for a while. Can't believe she dosen't have any gigs scheduled for the Bay Area. 😥 She forgot about us.
I have been watching this everyday for a week now. It is the best therapy imaginable . Molly is a force!
Molly Tuttle + an acoustic guitar = a full band. She boggles the mind.
This is one of the best things ever recorded. My oh my, is it good.
Definitely better than the original
So this is good?
I have no clue🤔
Maybe they play it this weekend 🤞
I like the tune
Reminds me of Courtney Love
Is that a bad thing to say
Molly Timebomb Tuttle. Tim and the boys would be loving this chick.
Astonishing, uplifting, strong... that upstrum on "back" is just one of a zillion brilliant little details in this wonderful piece of work. Molly's the best.
Best cover of this song. Just beautiful.
This is an incredible take on one of my favorite songs from my early teenage years.
WOW! Another lifelong Rancid fan. Absolutely phenomenal.
I've been a big fan of Rancid for a long time now and it's great to hear such a lovely artist performing such an impressive rendition.
This cover makes me feel nothing but joy. Wow, that picking on the solo. Nothing short of miraculous
このバージョン、本当に心に響きます。
壁にぶつかった時によく聴きます、ランシドの曲。
ありがとう、アコギバージョン👍
From a punk rock to this. What a great rendition.❤
I know Tim must must love this and mean that.
He loves music and this is some of the best music.
She's a musical angel or goddess or something, so beautiful! ❤
I’m speechless. The quality and quantity of music that Molly is giving us these days boggles my mind.
She must be working at it 24/7.
Billy Strings was Molly's roommate for a time in Nashville. He said she would come home from touring and go straight to her bedroom and write song and practice. She was the hardest worker he had ever seen.
What a great voice and just a great performance. Beautiful song.
Just goes to show that punk rock is, in fact, true art.
We already knew that. Anyway, this is a fantastic cover!
I'm going to cry.
Molly Tuttle is amazingly good, and if you get the chance go and see her perform live.
I LOVE the way she played this song. Highlights the best of Armstrong AND her!

Absolutely fantastic! Kudos!!
Absolutely sublime!!! Bravo!!!!
This is just perfect! Solo performance but was like played by two persons! Crazy! Tim Armstrong will be proud!
That was actually amazing. Good Job Killer.
Man she might be the best female acoustic player I've ever seen. Like holy heck. That strumming and control.
Actually I think she might be the best guitar player in the world male or female
WOW, deep space wonderworld!
Check out what she does on She’s A Rainbow. Her guitar playing is insane.
Change might to is!
Um, any mediocre guitar player can do this wtf
Something special Molly doing Rancid - Punk . "Molly, we been telling people -Punk & Bluegrass go together, you've proved it !😀
Molly doesn't need a band
they way she plays this song.
She's the full deal.
Sy ngikutin lagu olimpia musik ini dengan bass (Indonesia language)

Just amazing!

Rancid since -95 discovered Molly via Billy Strings ,she’s so fucking talented
Hangin' out with Lars down on 6th street
He knew that I was in trouble
I was feelin' much like the devil
There was something burnin' deep inside of me
Ran into three Puerto Ricans
These girls took us to the funhouse
Where we played a lonely pinball machine
Hangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of 'em seem to go my way
An' New York City
Well, I wish I was on the highway
Back to Olympia
I'm having a hard time understanding
It gets all too demanding
She's all gone and I'm stranded
Somethin' burning deep inside of me
All I know it's four o'clock and
She ain't never showed up and
I watched a thousand people go home from work, yeah
Hangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of 'em seem to go my way
Oh New York City
Well, I wish I was on the highway
Back to Olympia
How many times will it take me
Before I go crazy
Before I lose everything
Somethin' burning deep inside of me
Ran into three Puerto Ricans
Those girls took us to the funhouse
I don't wanna be alone again
Hangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of 'em seem to go my way
Oh New York City
Well, I wish I was on the highway
Back to Olympia
Well done 🤟🏼
Awesome cover. I would love to hear you play Daly City Train!
