    As a non musician I've got no idea what you're talking about... but it's the best content on TH-cam at the moment - keep it up! 👍

      @@JamesHargreavesGuitar Keeping my fingers crossed for a dissection of Gas Panic in the future 🤞 The less lauded Oasis songs (IGT Fever included) are some of the most interesting.

    Great cover, James and really good vocals too. Have to say those two chords Gm6 and C9 remind me of the Happy Mondays single Kinky Afro, wonder if Noel had that in mind when he wrote it. ;-)

    My favourite (non album) Oasis track. Clearly written in the batch of songs for Definitely Maybe and What’s the Story.

    Excellent dude. I remember buying this CD back in September 1997. God the days of the b sides. I used look forward to the four tunes, not necessarily the a side. Those days are gone now with streaming. Anyway, great work man, keep it up. Most bands would have had a healthy career from Oasis B sides lol.

  • @andrewdunn3987
    @andrewdunn3987 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello mate - long time listener first time commenter - this is deffo in my top 5 B sides!!! For me, it's a capo on fret 3, then the verses are Em, Asus2, Dsus2, B7...
    Then chorus E, A, B, A, G#m, A, B...
    Keep up the class videos - my vote for a new vid would be a gratuitous Noel/Bonehead/Gem gear video for all the guitar nerds 👍

    Nice! I bought this single on day of release and my enthusiasm for Be Here Now carried on through the Autumn. However I didn’t buy the All Around The World single until years later. Always loved this song and misheard the lyrics (as I saw on the breeze was what I thought it said) until watching these videos. Great version, shows how good it is!

    Great vid James. Just saw online it said, "saw on the breeze" lol! surely it's "sore"? Turns out I've also been singing two bits of this song wrong for years, I sung, "swimming on a song on the radio" and "I can see the signs of those who came before me". Lol!

    • @inkledoodle6503
      @inkledoodle6503 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. It’s soar (I.e. to fly)

    Is that C9 chord the one Noel uses as the second chord in Roll With It and the third chord in Talk Tonight? You could probably make a video on Noel's use of that unusual chord, as it's arguably one of his signatures.

    • @JamesHargreavesGuitar
      @JamesHargreavesGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's almost the same as the one from Roll With It - but that one has the index finger also on fret 2 of the D string
      Yes, those 60's beatley chords are a big Oasis signature sound

    Still slowly picking up views, I’m going back around loads of very enjoyable & interesting shorts. Love your open attitude coupled with obvious proper knowledge & musicianship. Plus your passion for the oddness that’s Oasis & Britpop.
    You’ll be aware of Justin Hawkins. I’d love to hear the two of you chat about Brit music. You’re both kind & generous, but don’t tolerate terrible music.
    Nice warmth in your instrument:)

    Would be nice if you do something similar with 'Thank you for the good times', I think the lyrics are in similar vein to this and there's 100% references to Some might say, which noel says is the 'definition of oasis', and heroes by bowie
