This was beautiful look at an example of traditional African architecture, which is often ignored. I especially loved learning about women’s roles and the queen mother‘s authority. As an AfricanAmerican, whether I’m researching African chattel-diaspora cultures or indigenous African cultures, you don’t listen to the lip service, you have to research how the women & children are treated. And if not equal (as it should be), what opportunities did & do traditionally exist for our women.
This is just beautifully elegant. Look at the grandeur of this place. . I use to spend some summer break and Christmas break in Benin Republic, and I never visited this place. I hope I get the chance to visit this place in the nearest future. Good job bro.
True the place is more historical and interesting more than I portrayed it to be, you need to visit in person to feel the energy and serenity of the place.
@@ebohmedia2459 Je vous en prie , vous avez fait un bon boulot. J'ai découvert à travers votre vidéo le palais du Roi Toffa 1er sans jamais y mettre pieds. Thank you.
Here is how resemblance the culture of the Benin Republic is almost as same as the Benin Empire in Nigeria! When the king dies, we do not say he died, he traveled! That is exactly the same as Edo/Benin in Nigeria! All as described are the same as Edo/Benin! So, please go figure!!!! This is to say the Edo/Benin Empire of Nigeria really has enormous influence on the Dahomey, Benin Republic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, you see those marks on this guy's face, it is exactly as we have in Edo/Benin of Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! History is something else!!!!
@up2882 Really? Please stay away from me ooo! Mumu, Ozuo! Benin EMPIRE, THE BIGHT OF BENIN, HEARTBEAT OF NIGERIA! God punish you Ode, mumu! We brought all those to your land, the only thing we did not do was to impose our language on your land and people! FACT!!! Ode, Mumu, Ozuo!
The cameraman recorded poorly, there are areas that I don't focus on, I would have liked to see better 🤔

And you don't play with Benin republic people when it comes to witchcraft! They are brutal
The tour guide sounds more like a yoruba
He is Beninoise , some parts in Benin Republic speaks Yoruba especially in Porto Novo city.
@@ebohmedia2459Yoruba is the 2nd most spoken language in Benin.
